RedRock Challenge: Go Team USA! :D

Happy Wednesday/ Thursday! :D

I had so much fun doing the £100 ASOS Blogger Challenge, so when I found out RedRock was hosting a similar challenge, I just had to participate again. :)

All you have to do is pick one or more of their items from their website and/or ASOS Marketplace, show how you'd style them, say a little something about the outfit you put together, and make a blog post about it -- easy, right?!

Learn more about the RedRock Challenge here.

So, for my take on the challenge, I picked the upcoming London 2012 Olympic Games as my outfit's theme. ;)

I am rooting for Team USA of course, so I was ecstatic to find the GOOD MORNING U.S.A. Shorts (£26). I would pair it with the IMASTAR Cropped Shirt (£21). To continue our Team USA theme, I would wear either red or blue Keds -- representing the American flag and keeping with the sporty spirit of the Olympics. I can't leave the house without my sunglasses, so for this outfit, I would go with red wayfarers. Lastly, I chose the Union Jack earrings not only because London is hosting this year's games, but also because after Team USA, I am rooting for Team GB. :)

I think this outfit is fun and casual -- perfect for watching the games while hanging out with family and friends. :D

Anyone else excited for the upcoming London 2012 Olympics?
Which team are you rooting for?

£100 ASOS Blogger Challenge! :)

Happy Monday/ Tuesday!!!

The Discount Coder Blog is hosting a £100 ASOS Blogger Challenge (ends on July 31st) -- all you have to do is visit www.asos.com, put together an outfit worth £100 or less, blog about it, and leave them the link to your post. :)

I love putting outfits together and I have been wanting to buy something from ASOS for the longest time -- this Blogger Challenge seemed like the perfect thing for me to do, haha! ;)

Asos Blogger Challenge

ASOS has a lot of beautiful pieces and I really had a hard time creating an ensemble -- I kind of wanted them all, haha! ;)

In the end though, I chose to go with a basic piece that is a staple in my wardrobe: shorts.

During the summer, I basically live in shorts... but, we can't always wear shorts to everything and everywhere.
And that is why I think it's very important to have "dressy shorts".

1. ASOS Shorts with Curved Hem (£18) --

shorts-1

This piece is versatile -- you can dress it down with a simple tee or dress it up with a pretty top. :)

For this outfit, I decided to go the "dressy" route...

My Mom is famous for her spur-of-the-moment adventures -- we plan to go to the mall, and we randomly end up at the Santa Monica Pier, haha! And that is the reason why whenever I am out with my Mom (or really, just whenever I'm out in general, haha!), I make sure that I look ready for wherever I'm gonna find myself at. ;)

2. Dahlia Stud Embellished Collar Blouse (£50) --

top

So pretty, right?!

I basically spent half of the £100 limit I have on this blouse, and I don't mind at all.
This blouse is really perfect -- it's beautiful and polished, but still has a summer vibe to it with the sheer material.

Since it's sheer, you can wear a bright-colored bra or bikini top underneath, but I'm gonna go for a more subdued choice...

3. ASOS Denim Bandeau Top (£15, now £4.50) --

bandeau

I think it's important to own a bandeau top -- you never know when it's gonna come in handy. ;)

As for shoes, I live in sandals during the summer, but since I am going for a more "dressy" look, ballet flats are the way to go.

4. ASOS LUCY Ballet Flats (£15) --

shoes

Another important wardrobe staple: ballet flats.

Ballet flats are cute, girly, and comfortable. :)

It's summer, so naturally, we should have a bright color in there somewhere, right?!

I love pops of color, and so for this outfit, I am adding a touch of my favorite color (bright yellow!) with my choice of clutch:

5. ASOS Metal Handle Foldover Clutch (£20, now £10) --

clutch-2

I love how this bright yellow foldover clutch adds an element of fun and summer to this look. :)

Our grand total: £97.50! :D

Not only did we meet the £100 limit, but we also got pieces that look as great separately as they are together!
These would all work well with pieces that you already own. Plus, they are so versatile that you can wear them styled in many different ways. :)

Asos Blogger Challenge

So, that's it for my take on the £100 ASOS Blogger Challenge! :)

What do you guys think?
Is this the sort of outfit you would wear? Which of these five pieces caught your eye the most?
Did you join this Blogger Challenge?

I hope you are all having a great start to the week! :)

ASOS :)

Hey, everyone!

How's your week going?

I've heard all about ASOS from a lot of our fellow bloggers, and I keep trying to remind myself to go and check it out.... but alas, I always forget. Then one day, while I was going through a magazine, I saw this:

Photobucket

And I was like, "Ummm, okay, I definitely have to go check it out... NOW!" So I did, and I even scanned this spread. ;)

Here are some of the pieces that caught my eye:

1. A/Wear Striped Box Tee, $28.69

2. ASOS Piqued Chelsea Scalloped Shift Dress, $80.69

Look at the back! :)

3. ASOS PETITE Knot Waist Shift Dress, $71.72

4. ASOS Longer Length Tailored Belted Shorts, $53.79

I actually like this whole outfit! :)

5. Mardi Jeudi Pleat Short Sleeve Shirt, $215.16

6. ASOS Belted Tunic, $53.79

7. Vero Moda Double Breasted Striped Knit Cardigan, $68.13

8. ASOS Textured Lampshade Skirt, $53.79

9. ASOS Faux Croc Day Bag, $62.76

10. ASOS Wide Brim Fedora Hat, $44.83

Sigh, I wish I could get them all... Haha.

;)

Anyways, I love their pieces. And I love how they have a Petite line! However, you know me and my bargain-loving ways, so I am a bit too unsure about the price... like $44.83 for a fedora hat?

Have you ordered anything from ASOS? Are they worth the price?
