My recent purchase: Bath&Body Works (and an Award!)

Happy Friday, everyone! Or should I say Happy Black Friday?! :D

Are you finished with your Black Friday shopping?

For today, I just want to share with you what I bought from Bath&Body Works.

I love Bath&Body Works because they have tons of scents to choose from. They also have an assortment of items - from fragrance mists, cologne, eau de toilette, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, body butter, to home items such as candles and plug-in home fragrance sets. They also have amazing deals, especially today because it's Black Friday. :)

One of my all-time favorite fragrances from them is White Citrus.

I got the fragrance mist and 2 of the body lotion.

It's perfect to bring to school - fits in my bag, doesn't take too much space. I really love this because sometimes I'm in a hurry and I forget to spray some cologne/perfume - but since I have this in my school bag, I don't need to worry. The lotion comes in handy, especially now that we have to constantly moisturize.

This is also good for all you travelers out there because this 3oz. bottle is TSA compliant for carry-on luggage. :D

Mine was pretty good - I just caught colds yesterday, though, but it's no big deal, fortunately, I'm not that sick. :)

1. Spending time with my family.

2. Hanging out with my friends. Everytime we're all home (Spring Break, Summer, Thanksgiving, Christmas...), we all try to spend a whole day together to catch up with each other. I miss my friends. Thank God I have blogger friends! :D

3. Food. I love all kinds of food (I just can't eat leafy greens, I don't know why :/). These are my top three favorite foods:

6. Rain. There's something about rain that I love. Maybe it's because we don't get it often here in LA. Rainy/gloomy weather is the perfect time to just lie in bed (with super comfy comforter), drink a cup of hot chocolate, and watch DVDs all day. *sigh*

7. Dresses. They can be worn almost year-round (especially here). Pair them with a cute winter coat, tights, and ballet flats for cold days. They are perfect as is for the summer. :)

8. Headbands. If you've read some of my older posts, you might recall that I've mentioned my love for headbands. :D

9. Travel. I love to travel - but there are still sooooo many places I have to visit in my lifetime.

10. Shopping. I'm sure I don't have to explain why. Haha. ;)

Strawberry Cake and an award! :)

Yay for the weekend - oh, I mean LONG weekend! It's Labor Day weekend over here = we have Monday off! :D

I might have mentioned before that I love to bake. While it is true that baked goodies made from scratch are really more delicious than those from a box, it is also true that baking from a box is easier. ;)

A few weeks ago, I tried to make a two-layer strawberry cake from a Betty Crocker box. It was easy to make, and more importantly it was delicious!

Directions from the box:

All we need: the cake mix, 1 1/4 cups water, 1/3 cup oil, and 3 eggs

When I first saw the cake mix, I was like "How is this going to turn pink? It's white!" But fear not, it turns pink once all the ingredients are added. Haha.

One box of the cake mix is enough for 2 round pans.

I bake it for about 35 minutes. Make sure to grease and flour your pans so the cake won't stick.

Let them cool, take them off the pans, and then put on icing and decorate as you want. :)

They also have it in Party Rainbow Chip and Butter Recipe Chocolate.

Now, I wish I had a picture of the finished product, but I do not. After about an hour or so of waiting for the cake to be ready, my siblings were so excited to eat it. Haha. ;) Since I do not have pictures of my cake, I "Googled" some yummy and beautiful strawberry-flavored cakes.

In another note, have you seen the official music video of Eminem and Rihanna's Love The Way You Lie? Here it is:

Many are not too happy about the message of this video. I can understand that sentiment. As a whole, I thought the video is creative and well-made - it feels like I'm watching a movie or a TV show (because Megan Fox and Dominic Monaghan are in it, haha), BUT I really wish Megan Fox's character left at the end of the video to show that women (and men, too) should stand up and find the courage to leave an abusive relationship. And I also agree that the video is too violent for younger teens. What do you think?
