Tasty Tuesday: The Madelaine Chocolate Company

Happy Tuesday! :)

Prior to writing this post, I enjoyed a delicious piece of brownie -- I believe that life isn't complete without dessert, haha! I am a chocoholic, and that is why I am ecstatic to be working with The Madelaine Chocolate Company! :D

Established in 1949, their delicious chocolates have been a part of American family life for 60 years.
They have dedicated themselves to perfecting the superior taste and quality of their chocolate. Their belief that everyone should be able to afford great tasting chocolate is what drives their commitment to their customers, and ensures that they never compromise on flavor or quality.

package from The Madelaine Chocolate Company

Their shipping is fast and reliable -- my package was delivered to my doorstep in 5 days! :)

Specialty Gourmet Chocolate Especially For You From... The Madelaine Chocolate Company!

The chocolates were prepared and packaged really nicely, as you can see above and below.

Caramel Truffles, White Chocolate Truffles, and Hazelnut Truffles

Estee from The Madelaine Chocolate Company generously sent me three kinds of chocolates to try and review for you guys -- Thanks, Estee! :)

Just judging from the way their chocolates are packaged, you can really tell that they make sure every aspect of their products is of the utmost quality.

I especially love their attention to detail -- the ribbons and the label seen above are a nice touch.

Extreme summer heat + Chocolates in the mail = Not a good mix, right?!
But not with The Madelaine Chocolate Company

They make sure that their chocolates don't melt in transit -- the chocolates are wrapped in a bubble wrap and are placed inside an insulated foil bag. To add to that, they also come with two ice packs = the chocolates arrived in perfect condition! :)

Speaking of the chocolates, let's talk about them...

1. GOLD FOILED HAZELNUT TRUFFLES (16 pieces) --

Layered dark chocolate and milk chocolate blended with pure hazelnut paste from Italy, wrapped in two-tone gold Italian foil.

These are so delicious -- total chocolate!
Because they were very rich, I ate each piece one small bite at a time -- it was absolute heaven! ;)

2. CARAMEL FILLED TWIST WRAP TRUFFLES (9 pieces) --

Premium milk chocolate ball filled with buttery caramel, wrapped in gold foil.

Chocolate and caramel is a classic combination, and these didn't disappoint.
The caramel is so soft -- it definitely melts in your mouth, it's amazing!

3. WHITE CHOCOLATE TWIST WRAP TRUFFLES (9 pieces) --

Premium white chocolate truffles, wrapped in blue foil.

I love love love white chocolate, so it's no surprise that this is my favorite out of the three. ;)
The white chocolate is so creamy and so delicious, I love it!

Valentine's Day Gift Ideas: All About the Ladies!

Happy Monday!!!

Time is flying by so fast (as usual!) and Valentine's Day is a week from tomorrow!

I don't normally give out Valentine's Day gifts to my Mom, sisters, and best friends... but since I have some extra money to spare, I decided that maybe I should give little gifts this year -- a Hershey bar for each special person in my life, perhaps? After all, they are all my Valentine! ;)

What about you? Are your Valentine's Day gifts ready?

If not, here are some ideas (from www.usmagazine.com) to help you come up with the perfect gift for the special women in your life:

1. Tackle Box (dylanscandybar.com, $24) -

The Sweetest Valentine's Day Gifts : Tackle Box

Who wouldn't want to receive a box full of favorite treats from Dylan's Candy Bar?!
My friends and I like to share a heart-shaped cake every Valentine's Day -- maybe this year, we can share this instead. :)

***Bonus Tip: If you want to save more money, you can get different candies and chocolates and put them all in a cute box to share with your friends.***

2. Starbucks Gift Card (starbucks.com, price varies) -

The Sweetest Valentine's Day Gifts : Starbucks Card eGift

I'm pretty sure everyone would appreciate a Starbucks gift card. ;)

***Bonus Tip: Arrange a Starbucks date with your Mom!***

3. Valentine's Day Collection Nail Polishes (butterlondon.com, $14 each) -

The Sweetest Valentine's Day Gifts : Valentine's Day Collection Nail Polishes

You can't go wrong with nail polish. ;)

(If you want to try a different brand of nail polish, you can check out Dr.'s REMEDY® Valentine's Day Collection.)

***Bonus Tip: Mani/Pedi day with the sisters? I think that's perfect!***

4. Strawberry Champagne Cupcakes (georgetowncupcake.com, $55 per dozen) -

The Sweetest Valentine's Day Gifts : Strawberry Champagne Cupcakes

Almost everyone I know wouldn't say no to cupcakes! ;)

***Bonus Tip: I'm sure these are delicious, but if you're looking to save some money while still giving a thoughtful gift, I think you'd be better off baking your own cupcakes -- you can pick the ingredients that will go into them and you can personalize the design!***

5. Valentine's Day Cards (hallmark.com, price varies) -

Nothing beats a simple Valentine's Day card with a handwritten note inside -- let them know you love and appreciate them!

***Bonus Tip: Include something special inside the card -- like a photo of you and the card's recipient, for example.***

I hope you liked these Valentine's Day gift ideas!

Do you have anything to add to this list?
Which of these would you like to give to the special ladies in your life?

Flashback Friday, Harry Potter, and a movie trailer

Happy Friday, everyone!

Thanksgiving is in less than a week, and one more week until Black Friday! :D

It will be a short post for today since I have to go study for my two midterms. :/ Even Harry Potter has to wait. :(

Have you guys seen Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows?

Enjoy this funny video of the Harry Potter stars speaking with an American accent:

Aaaahh, love them! :D

Flashback Friday:

Do you guys remember these?

Ring Pops!

Chupa Chups!

Fruittella!

------------------------------------------
Here is a trailer of Red Riding Hood starring Amanda Seyfried and Gary Oldman:

A lot of people are saying it looks like Twilight - it kinda does - maybe because it was directed by Catherine Hardwicke. I'm pretty sure it's different from Twilight, though. What do you think?
----------------------------------------

Don't forget to enter my GIVEAWAY! It closes on Sunday, November 21st at 11:59pm PST. To all who joined, thanks and good luck! To those who haven't, there's still time to enter. :D

Have a fantastic weekend, everyone! :)

***Oh, and it's supposed to rain here in Los Angeles this weekend??? Whaaatt?***
