Chicnova: Vintage Oversized Round Sunglasses + Hollow Out Beige Lace T-Shirt

Happy Sunday!

This post was originally scheduled for Friday, but then I was out all day... I decided to have it published yesterday, but I wasn't feeling well so I went to bed early, and now, here we are, haha! ;)

So for today, I wanted to share with you guys two more items I received from Chicnova to review...

Featuring a round frame design in black, resin lenses, slim metal standard arms with plastic tapered and curved temple, in a vintage style.

Price: $11

Lens Height: 5.8 centimeters
Frame Width: 13 centimeters
Bridge Width: 1.8 centimeters
Temple Length: 14.3 centimeters

I am usually iffy about ordering sunglasses online because I don't know how they would look on me, but I took a chance with these sunglasses because they look good and they remind me of a pair of oversized round Louis Vuitton sunglasses I tried on before... And I'm so glad I decided to just go for it! ;)

These are good quality sunglasses and they are reasonably priced.

Let's just say it's enough to hold me over until I find other oversized sunglasses or even until I have enough money to buy those Louis Vuitton ones I mentioned earlier. ;)

They go with pretty much everything -- all kinds of outfits!

This is how they look on:

They're just the right size -- not too small, but not too big either.
And I love how it has a black plastic frame because without it, I think it would look to Ozzy Osbourne-ish, haha! ;)

So yup, I definitely love these new sunglasses of mine... they were even featured on my previous outfit post.

- Made from a soft touch lace fabric in beige
 - Hollow out lace details
 - Short sleeved styling
 - Round neckline
 - Loose fit

Price: $19

Okay, first things first... the shirt I got looked NOTHING like the shirt I ordered:

It wasn't beige, it was white.
And I was expecting a shirt with a scalloped lace design, but the shirt I got was different...

Under normal circumstances, I would have told Chicnova about this little mix-up and they would have sent me the item I actually ordered, but since this shirt was sent to me for review purposes, I decided to just go ahead and write my review. :)

The shirt I received is white with a lace floral design.
At first, I thought it resembled a doily too much, but it gradually grew on me... I now appreciate how versatile it can be -- you can wear it with a dress (as I did), with a skirt, with shorts, or with jeans.

Scoop Neckline

The scoop neckline is a bit too high, but it works out okay.

Sleeve

The sleeves are longer than that of the shirt I was supposed to get...

There's a button closure at the back, though I'm not sure this is really necessary.

A close-up of the shirt's detail...

The fabric is a bit itchy at first, but it gets more comfortable as you get used to it.

I wore my shirt over my yellow Cotton On dress.

Since the detail of the shirt and the color of my dress were both already too loud, I decided to go for understated gold ballet flats.

My accessories:

A white watch and a crystal bracelet (both already featured on previous outfit posts)...

And this cocktail ring from New York & Company... also already featured on a previous post! ;)

I also wore my pearl earrings again...

...and this yellow Twist Scarf from American Apparel!

Overall, it was just a fun ladylike outfit for a day of running errands and hanging out with friends.
Even though it wasn't the shirt I originally ordered, I still do like it and I can see myself wearing it with different kinds of outfits in the future. :)

So yup, that's it for my Chicnova post...

Chicnova: Yellow Slouchy Batwing Jumper

Happy Sunday!

I have a ton of outfit posts to write for you guys -- this week got really busy, my blog posting schedule got a little bit backed up, haha! But no worries, I will try to get them all done ASAP! ;)

Let's start off my series of outfit posts with this yellow sweater I received from Chicnova...

Featuring a soft knitted fabric, scoop neckline, batwing styling with long length ribbed cuffs, in a relaxed slouchy style.

This is how I wore my sweater:

First things first: Yes, it's not as bright as the sweater pictured on their website... But, the color is beautiful nonetheless. ;)

I wore it for a day of walking around the mall -- shopping, job hunting, and eating out with my sister.
It was an unusually cool California summer day, so it was perfect for the weather. Because it's a slouchy style with a scoop neckline, it wasn't stifling = perfect!

Back...

I love shirts/sweaters that are long enough to cover your bum -- that is very important to me, haha! ;)

By the way, I wore my hair on a side braid and I wore my fedora hat (more on that on a separate post)!

Scoop Neckline

Again, not stifling even on a summer day!

Ribbed Cuff/Sleeve

Can roll it up or roll it down...

Batwing Style

I love how it's so flowy and slouchy!

I wore it with my trusty Forever 21 denim jeans -- I've had these jeans since high school! ;)

Pairing this slouchy sweater with sleek skinny jeans balances out the look, but it also looks great with shorts and leggings.

Oh, hello there, Michael Kors sandals, we meet again!
I've been wearing these sandals everywhere lately... you guys have seen them on a couple of my posts, haha!

By the way, I'm really shy about my feet, I feel like they look weird... I hope this picture is okay to look at!

My accessories:

I wore this gold necklace I bought from Shopbop.

I sported some arm candy again:
My gold New York & Company watch with a crystal bracelet my friend gave me for my 18th birthday...

Plus some more bracelets...

Oh, and SinfulShine™ with Gel Tech™ Nail Polish in Blue Suede Shoes on my nails! ;)

Gold Ralph Lauren earrings and my fedora hat...
Okay, seriously guys, this fedora hat is one of the best things I ever bought -- I will talk more about this hat of mine on a separate post! ;)

Lastly, my Michael Kors bag and gold aviator sunglasses to complete the outfit!

The Yellow Slouchy Batwing Jumper is currently sold out, but Chicnova has a ton of other amazing stuff, so please do check them out here.

You can also keep up to date with them through FacebookTwitterPinterestTumblrPolyvore, and their blog.

What do you think of this yellow sweater from Chicnova?
Have you bought anything from them before?

***More outfit posts to come, so please stay tuned!***

Chicnova: Box T-Shirt with Pocket

Happy Tuesday!

Continuing with my goal of getting through all the blog posts I want to write for you guys, today's post will be all about a shirt I got from Chicnova. :)

My love for online shopping is not really a secret around here (haha!), and Chicnova is definitely one of my absolute favorite online stores! Their pieces are trendy and affordable = perfect combination!
(Check out my Chicnova posts here.)

This is the shirt I got from Chicnova:

Featuring a wide scooped neckline, short sleeves, single drape pocket to the front, and cropped length.

And this is how I wore my shirt:

Box T-Shirt with Pocket from Chicnova
Yellow Skirt with Black Belt from Forever21
Accessories

Wide Scooped Neckline

Single Drape Pocket

The shirt doesn't exactly look like the one pictured on the website -- I thought the fabric was a bit more on the cotton side, but it wasn't. I'm not entirely sure what the fabric is exactly, the texture is kind of slippery... but bottomline, it's a good basic piece to have. :)

I like it because it's easy to pair with different pieces from my closet -- you can wear it with a skirt, with jeans, or with shorts.
I like the color because it's also good to have a gray shirt to interchange with our basic white and black tees.

I wore my shirt with my yellow skirt from Forever21:

I really love the color of my skirt! ;)

A close-up look at my necklaces:

The diamond pendant necklace was a gift from my parents back when I was 14 years old.
The yellow statement necklace was something I bought from Forever21 back when I was in high school. :)

I was wearing black sandals with this outfit, by the way... I just wasn't able to take a picture of it. ;)

The Box T-Shirt with Pocket is currently sold out, but Chicnova has a ton of other amazing stuff, so please do check them out here.

Do you like basic gray tees? What do you guys think of this shirt from Chicnova?
Have you bought anything from them before?

What's New: Chicnova Buys

Happy Sunday/ Monday!

I want to start the week right, so here I am with a new blog post, haha! ;)

I was recently contacted by Chicnova to work on a giveaway and review with them -- now that the giveaway is done, it's time for my review.

I got two items from Chicnova and I am so excited to share them with you guys! :)

Boxy T-Shirt With Batwing Sleeves from Chicnova
Velvet Skirt
Yellow Ballet Flats

Crafted in a soft-handle cotton rich fabric.
Featuring a round neckline with a bound trim, short sleeve with a batwing styling, and dipped hemline to reverse.
Designed with an oversized boxy fit.

Price: $14.50

I love the fit of the shirt -- I always go for flowy shirts like this because I find them more comfortable.
This shirt hangs loosely on the body without making you look bulky.
It's also a bit longer at the back, just the way I like my shirts.
It's very airy -- perfect for hot days... it's starting to get hotter and hotter here in Los Angeles, I am definitely gonna get a lot of use out of this shirt! :)

I also really love the design. It has a cool tribal feel to it.
The material used for the design is some kind of a cross between felt and velvet -- make sure not to iron the design!

I wore a yellow bra underneath to add a pop of color to the outfit and also to make the look more sexy, as my sister put it.
Let me tell you, "sexy" is the last word I would use to describe myself, so this is as sexy as I would go, haha. ;)

Now, about my accessories:

Silver Bracelets/ Coach Watch/ Diamond Earrings/ Diamond Necklace

My hairstyle:

Just a simple ponytail with a twist... :)

Chicnova Item #2: Canvas Bag With Multi Pockets

I wasn't able to take a photo of my actual outfit because I wanted to keep the focus on my new canvas bag, but here are the details anyway:

Chiffon Sequined Blouse
Mint Skinny Jeans
Brown Michael Kors Sandals (not seen on the photo)

Now, about the bag:
Featuring canvas washed fabric, twin top grab handles stretched to the base, multi pockets throughout, a contrast leather panel to the base, and a detachable shoulder strap with adjustable length.

Price: $19.90

I've been looking for the perfect school bag and I finally found it in this bag from Chicnova!

It's the perfect size -- not too bulky, but spacious enough to carry all my stuff!

I love how it has a lot of pockets -- in front and at the back, as seen in the two photos above.
I'm the kind of girl who always has random things (like pieces of paper) that I have to stick in my bag and having these pockets makes my life so much easier! Not only that, but I now have a permanent place for my phone -- no more freaking out when I don't feel my phone in my pocket, haha! ;)

There are two ways to carry this bag -- like a shoulder bag or like a backpack -- so cool!
It's always nice to have options. :)

Another thing I love about it: it stands by itself!
A bag that doesn't have structure is one of the most frustrating things on earth!

One downside to it: the fabric is canvas -- it attracts dirt and the color of my jeans sometimes transfers to it, but I don't really mind too much. :)

So yup, that's it for my Chicnova post...
