OASAP: Turtleneck Batwing Sleeved Belted Sweater and Teardrop Pattern Necklace + Outfit

Happy Sunday!

I've mentioned a couple of times how my busy school and work schedule has taken a huge amount of time away from blogging... and as promised, every change I get, I blog! ;)

So right now, I want to show you guys the amazing items I got from OASAP:

Let's talk about the necklace first...

The set features a layered necklace and teardrop earrings.
The necklace with adjustable clasp. The earrings with post backs.

This necklace design has been going around for some time now, and I finally got one!
I was gonna go for a yellow, but I was like, hey I think it's time to go for something new -- so turquoise it is! ;)

It's really pretty and it goes with basically everything -- I always get compliments every time I wear this necklace = LOVE!

Price: $16.77
NOW: $10.06

Also available in: Blue, Black, Coral, Hot Pink, Light Blue, White, and Yellow

And now, the sweater...

The warm whole color sweater featuring a turtleneck, short batwing sleeves, loose waist with belt embellishment. In a regular fit.

When I saw this sweater on OASAP's website, it was love at first sight!

It just looked to me like a sweater that is flattering for everyone, and I was right!
I'm usually a little iffy about ordering one size items online, but this one is a winner! :)

I love how the batwing sleeves balance out the sweater's turtleneck.
I wear this sweater on days when it's cold but not really, haha! ;)
You can also wear a black long-sleeved shirt under for when it gets really cold.

As if I didn't already love it enough, they added this really flattering belt... tying the sweater will give you a sleeker, more polished look!

Price: $35.90

Also available in: Brown

The rest of my outfit...

I wore my sweater with my black Mari leggings from BCBG (where I work, by the way!!!)... I also wore it with simple embellished black ballet flats. :)

OASAP: Cutout Batwing Sleeve Sweater + Outfit

Happy Saturday!!! :D

Remember when I told you guys that I received two items from OASAP?
It's time to talk about item #2! :)

The second thing I chose from OASAP's wide selection is this:

Whole color cutout sweater featuring a scoop neckline, long cuffed sleeve, front patched pockets, and a curved hemline in a loose fit.

Price: $39.90 NOW: $29.93
One Size: Sleeve -- 60cm, Length -- 58cm, Bust -- 106cm

This is how I wore my Cutout Batwing Sleeve Sweater:

I wore it on a regular day -- just hanging out and running errands here and there.

It was one of those days with weird weather -- cool in the morning and hot in the afternoon... so I paired my sweater with shorts and I decided not to wear a tank top underneath -- hey, it was Summer anyway! ;)

It's a really cute sweater and I love how easy it is to wear with different outfits for different seasons!

I would normally wear a tank top underneath it, but I wasn't really going anywhere formal and it was hot, so I decided to just go for it and wear my yellow bra -- I think it definitely added a summer-y vibe to the outfit. :)

Oh, and remember when I told you guys that I am obsessed with batwing sleeves?
Yup, here we go, another batwing sleeved top, haha!

The details:

Scoop Neckline

Front Patched Pocket

Long Cuffed Sleeve

A close-up of the knit detail...

Other parts of my outfit:

I tucked my sweater into my white New York & Company shorts...

I wore my yellow H&M sneakers to make the look more casual...

Accessories:

My current favorite necklace and...

...my white watch.

I really like this sweater and I am so excited to style it for Fall!!! ;)

I chose the color black because I want to be able to wear it to work (haha!), but it is also available in:

white, cream, khaki, and orange. :)

OASAP: Short Sleeve High-Low Tee + Outfit

Happy Sunday/ Monday!

Just wanted to squeeze in a quick Fashion Review/OOTD post...

If you've been visiting What Mimi Writes for quite some time now, then you are probably no stranger to OASAP and their awesome selection of items to choose from... I got some new pieces from them and I wanted to start off by talking about my Short Sleeve High-Low Tee:

The tee featuring high-low hemline. Scoop neckline. Short sleeve. Patched pocket at chest. At long length cut.

A big top with high-low design. The large size has a comfortable feel and plenty of length and coverage for your hips. For a good day look, you cannot beat a casual top with a pair of shorts and some cute summer jewelry.

 Price: $27.90 NOW: $19.53
One Size: Length -- 73-82cm/ Bust -- 114cm

Does it sound and look familiar? Yes?
That's because I already have the white version of this shirt -- I loved it so much, I had to get it in black! ;)

This is how I wore my Short Sleeve High-Low Tee:

I am required to wear all-black outfits to work, so this shirt really comes in handy!

I wore my black shirt with my faux leather leggings -- the shirt is long enough, so you can definitely wear it with leggings or even as a dress! ;)

The shirt is loose, so I decided to belt it to give the outfit some shape -- I love it!

The details:

The patched pocket really has no function, but I like how it adds some dimension to the shirt.

The sleeves are longer than other shirts, but it works out well for me since I wear it to work... but, if you want shorter sleeves, you can go ahead and fold them. :)

I love the scoop neckline -- not stifling at all!

Oh, and there's a look at the necklace I wore. :)

Other accessories:

Black Woven Belt...

Rings, Bracelet, and Watch...

Faux Leather Leggings...

And last but not the least, black smoking slippers from Forever 21! ;)

So yup, I'm pretty much just repeating everything I said from my other post --
This is a really good basic tee to have in our closet. It's classic and versatile!

It's one size fits all, and they really mean it! ;)

It's also really soft and so comfy, I am totally in love with this shirt... I'm probably gonna buy the other two colors, haha!

This shirt is also available in:

white, blue, and rose pink. :)

OASAP #2: Contrast Animal Print Long Sleeve Shirt + Outfit

Happy Monday!

On Saturday, I shared with you guys the first part of my OASAP haul... and now it's time for Part 2, yay! :D

The second item I chose is the Contrast Animal Print Long Sleeve Shirt:

The shirt featuring overall animal print, contrast basic collar, full buttoned front placket, and long cuffed sleeve with button closure. In a regular fit.

This season, keep an eye out for shirts or blouses to take you from day to night.
Print shirts or blouses also look stunning and are on trend. Looks amazing with a pair of cool shorts or jeans and a pair of creepers.

Price: $26.90
Sizes: Small, Medium, Large

When I was a teenager, I didn't like shirts like this because I found them too restricting and too "grown-up"... but now that I am older, I absolutely love them! :)

I like how they can go from day to night (as the description above points out).
You can pair this shirt with virtually anything -- jeans, shorts, skirts, etc.
I was gonna say leggings, but it's actually not long enough to cover your behind, so that may be a problem if you want to wear leggings with it. Besides that and the small detail of some extra thread around the buttons, there's really nothing bad about this shirt.

This looks great by itself and it would also look amazing with a blazer on if you want to wear it to work.

There are a thousand possibilities of styling this shirt... shorts and sandals to go super casual, jeans and ballet flats for semi-casual, and skirt and pumps for a dressy look -- I'm sure you guys can think of more! ;)

I got it in a size Medium and it fits just right.
Their size guide really helps a lot, so make sure you take advantage of it.

Front

I went for the dressy look, haha! ;)

I wore my shirt to dinner with my friends.
I wanted to get all dolled up for the night, so I paired my shirt with my teal skater skirt... I kept the rest of my look simple by wearing dangling earrings and simple rings. :)

Back

A look at my shirt:

I tucked it into my skirt for a more polished look, but I didn't button it all the way up because I didn't want to look too formal. ;)

The Print

Isn't the print so cute?!
I love it!

Shoulder Detail

The shoulder part also has a really pretty and delicate ruched detail.

Cuffed Sleeve with Button Closure

Since it's a bit chilly at night, I decided to wear the long sleeves all the way down with the cuffs buttoned.
You can also definitely fold them up for a more casual look.

Contrast Basic Collar

Button it all the way up or not -- either way, it looks great! :)

Other parts of my outfit:

I wore my shirt with this teal skirt I bought on sale from Forever 21 -- it was only $6.99!
It actually has a black waistband, but I folded it because it looked a bit off with the cream detail of the top.

I wore my JS by Jessica Simpson Oscar Patent Leather Pumps.

Having a pair of nude pumps is a definite necessity!
More on these pumps on a separate post, I promise! ;)

Because the print is already so busy, I decided not to wear a necklace.
Instead I just went for these dangling earrings from Forever 21... I really love my earrings -- when I saw them, I knew I had to get them! ;)

By the way, I wore my hair up in a loose top knot.

Sorry, I didn't have time to paint my nails! :/

Since I buttoned my sleeves, I ended up not wearing arm candy... I just went for these simple rings.

Not pictured: A bag.
I didn't really bring a bag, I just brought my wallet and phone with me, haha. ;)

So yup, I am very happy with this shirt. At $26.90, it's a great buy!
We can definitely get a lot of use out of it. :)

What do you guys think of this Contrast Animal Print Long Sleeve Shirt?
Have you bought anything from OASAP before?

I hope you are all starting to get ready for August! ;)

OASAP #1: Short Sleeve High-Low Tee + Outfit

Happy Saturday! :)

Last night, I gave you guys a sneak peek of the items I got from OASAP and now it's time to talk about Item #1...

The first item I chose is the Short Sleeve High-Low Tee:

The tee featuring high-low hemline. Scoop neckline. Short sleeve. Patched pocket at chest. At long length cut.

A big top with high-low design. The large size has a comfortable feel and plenty of length and coverage for your hips.
For a good day look, you cannot beat a casual top with a pair of shorts and some cute summer jewelry.

Price: $27.90
One Size: Length -- 73-82cm/ Bust -- 114cm

This is a really good basic tee to have in our closet.
The length makes it really versatile -- we can wear it as a regular shirt, or if you'd like, as a dress!
I'm not usually too keen on ordering items that are one size, but with shirts like this, it works well -- it's quite literally "one size fits all".

It's also really soft and so comfy!
It's light enough to wear during the summer and good for layering when it starts to get cold.
Another thing I love about this tee is how we can dress it up and dress it down -- you guys know how much I love items like that. ;)

This is how I wore my Short Sleeve High-Low Tee:

I wore my shirt for a day of running errands and walking around the mall.
I wanted to wear something casual and comfy, so I paired my shirt with mint-colored jeans... and then I just accessorized to liven up the look. :)

A look at my shirt:

By the way, it's really color white (just as pictured on the website), it just doesn't look like it on my outfit photos because of the filter I used. ;)

Scoop Neckline

I find some scoop necklines to be quite stifling, but not this one -- this is just perfect!

Patched Pocket

There's really no particular function for this pocket, it's purely aesthetic... but, I think it adds a nice balance to the shirt.

Sleeve

The sleeves are longer than your average t-shirt, but it's no problem -- you can always fold it! ;)

Other parts of my outfit:

I wore my shirt with mint-colored jeans that I got from Walmart -- I don't usually find clothes that I like at Walmart, so it was a surprise when I found this. ;)

I also wore my trusty Michael Kors sandals -- which you can see a peek of in the photo above...

And I doubled up the Michael Kors love in this outfit with this brown Michael Kors bag which I got from my Mom. :)

A look at my accessories:

Gold, gold, gold!

Necklace from LOFT = LOVE! :D

Simple rings and aviator sunglasses...

And I also took a stab at sporting some arm candy! ;)

I found really cool bracelets from my long-forgotten jewelry collection, haha!
And I'm happy to finally show you guys this watch I got from New York & Company -- it's only $26 and although it's not as big as the Michael Kors watch I want (It's official: I am a Michael Kors lover!), this is good enough to hold me over until I can buy one. ;)

Now, back to the shirt...

It is also available in

blue, rose pink, and black. :)

I definitely want to get this shirt in Blue and Black! :D
