Beauty products :)

Hi, everyone! This is going to be a mixture of different topics, but they are mostly about beauty items (which we all love!).

Last week, my Mom, sisters and I had a "beauty day". We dyed our hair and did other girly stuff. I changed my hair color from Dark Mahogany Brown to this:

Dark Auburn.

It's not really much of a change, I'm still a brunette, but my hair is definitely lighter than before. I love it, and I will color my hair the same shade next time.

What's your hair color?

I also decided to try a different kind of lotion. We bought Queen Helene Cocoa Butter lotion. I've always had the stick version of this to use for stretch marks here and there, but I thought why not get the actual big bottle. I strongly recommend this because it really does make my skin soft and silky smooth. The only downside is, my skin gets sweaty and slippery because of the heat. But, I still think it's a really really good lotion. As for stretch marks, it takes time, but I've noticed that mine have lightened up. :)

If you have used this, what do you think of this lotion?

A couple of weeks ago, I went to Big Lots! with my Mom. I was just browsing when I saw this:

An elf Eye Combo Pack for $2! How amazing is that?! So yeah, I was so happy and excited... but then, I opened it and I was disappointed. The mascara was all dried up - there was nothing inside it. The gel mascara was a bit better, although it was a little dried up too. The eyeliner was good though - fortunately. It glides on smoothly, and unlike my other elf eyeliner, this one isn't too sharp.

It was only $2, so I guess I shouldn't be too disappointed. And, at least, I got another mascara. Yesterday, I went to Sephora to pick up my Beauty Insider birthday gift. Yay! I took a picture of it to share with you guys on a future post. :D

Here is a picture of the beauty products my sister and brother-in-law gave me for my birthday:

mascara, spray powder shampoo for brunettes, cream blush, eyeliner, 6 sided nail file, mineral compact powder, foundation, facial mask, Olay makeup remover wipes, lip gloss, facial scrub, eyebrow pencil, and face sponge

I will be doing separate posts on them soon. :)

I also just recently won a giveaway. Thanks to HelloPretty!

Have a relaxing weekend! :)

Tagged by Viva La Breee! :)

Thanks, Breee for this tag! I love the questions you asked. :)
At the end of these questions, I will make up my own 8 questions and tag 5 other bloggers. :)

1. Who inspires you the most? - People who have made it through hardship and came out successful inspire me the most. As long as you have dedication, drive, and motivation, you can surely achieve all your dreams and goals. Rachael Ray and Bobby Flay are two examples of people who have gone through tough times, but used it to make their dreams come true. Another thing I love the most about them? They help others achieve their dreams too. :)

2. Name one thing that means a lot to you. - Hands down, family.

3. What makes you cry? - Sad movies always make me cry. Two Disney movies that always get me? The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast. The scene where Simba tries to wake up Mufasa always always make me cry. The way the Beast and Gaston treat Belle's Dad always make me cry too.

4. If I was a genie and I could grant your 3 wishes, what would you wish for? -
  • This is gonna sound cheesy, but I really would wish for world peace.
  • For my family to be happy, healthy, and safe all the time. (That counts as 1 wish, right? Haha.)
  • For me to have the means to help those who need it the most.

5. What is your ideal date? - I have never been on one (yes, I am 20 years old, but I haven't gone out on a date, haha), but when I do go I think a dinner and a movie would be good. A date to the Santa Monica Pier would be nice too. :)

6. What is your favorite quote of the moment?

"Just when you think things can't get any worse, they do. I've learned life is like an hour glass, and when things hit rock bottom, you just have to wait for it to be turned around again."

7. Which is more important-being happy or making someone happy? (Keep in mind it is not the same thing, because you can make someone happy and be miserable at the same time)
- The way I see it is if you're not happy, then you can't really make someone happy. So be happy, then your happiness will rub off on others. :D

8. What is your favorite corny pick-up line? :)
- "Is this seat taken?" "No." "Are you?" Hahaha.

My 8 questions:

1. What is your all-time favorite movie?

2. Where do you see yourself in 10 years? What do you want your life to be like by that time?

3. There was another earthquake here in California yesterday. I'm just wondering, do you believe in "end of the world"? (Sorry, if this is too heavy to think about! I'm just really wondering.)

4. Okay, no more heavy questions. What is your favorite summer purchase so far?

5. What was your first job?

6. Why did you decide to start blogging?

7. Where do you and your friends like to hang out?

8. If you could go back to any age, what age would that be and why?

I tag the following lovely ladies:

LyddieGal
Marcie
Charly
Tayebug
Lisa Lisa Lisa

And anyone who wants to do this tag is welcome to do so as well! :D

The other day, I made a post about the dresses I have bought over the course of a couple of months. Today, I want to share with you some other items I got from some of my favorite stores. :)

3/4 sleeves button down shirt. (Forever21, $11.50)

Ruffled top. (Forever21, $9.99)

Floral tank top (Forever 21, $5.99)

Striped, ruffled sleeve shirt (Forever21, $13.80)

Black "capelet" (Forever21, $10.99)

I got some of these on sale. Sorry, I don't have their actual prices!

A few of my planned blog posts for the coming days are:

  • My birthday gifts - My sister and brother-in-law gave me a lot of beauty items for my birthday. I can't wait to share them with all of you. I just have to fix the pictures. And of course, I will be doing a review on them as soon as I can.
  • I baked bread, kind of from scratch yesterday. I used a prepared mixture from a box, but I call it "kind of from scratch" because it was a different experience because I've never actually tried baking bread. ;)
  • Breee from http://vivalabreee.blogspot.com/ tagged me to answer 8 questions of hers. :)

I hope you all come back to my blog to check out my new posts. Thanks! And have a good Wednesday night! :D

Polyvore: Disneyland outfit and Aveeno contest :D

My family and I are planning to go to Disneyland sometime this summer. The last time I went was over a year ago for Grad Nite, May of my senior year. :D

I made a Polyvore outfit of what I would love to wear when we do go to Disneyland this summer.

I would most definitely wear shorts because of the weather, and it is easier to move and walk around when wearing shorts than jeans. A tank top is a must because we don't want any sleeves tan line. ;) I would wear a cute bikini top to add fun to the outfit. Sneakers are comfy. A sling bag is ideal to carry around your essentials. The only piece of jewelry I would wear are probably earrings. :D

What do you think of this outfit? What is your ideal "Disneyland" or theme park outfit?

Another thing, check out http://www.freebeautyevents.com/ to enter a contest and get a chance to win Aveeno Lifting & Firming Cream, Night Cream, and Daily moisturizer with SPF 30. You have until July 31st to enter.

They also have free beauty events and product reviews. :)

I hope everyone is having a good Tuesday! :D
Oh, and I've also noticed that many of your comments and my replies have disappeared from my blog. Hopefully, they come back soon.

Happy 4th of July and Happy Birthday to me! :D

Happy 4th of July, everyone!

I hope you all have a good celebration with your family and friends! Enjoy! :D

It is also my birthday today! It is pretty cool to celebrate along with the rest of America. I especially love the fireworks. :D

I am now in my twenties. : / Pretty scary, if you ask me. Part of me is excited, and yet part of me wants to be "forever yooooouuuunnnnggg".

Any advice/stories about being in your twenties? :D

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows trailer

I LOVE HARRY POTTER. I LOVE IT.

I would say that I can be counted as one of the millions (or should I say billions?) of Harry Potter fans in the world. The books are beyond amazing, J.K. Rowling is a genius. The movies have done very, very well in the box office for almost 10 years. In my opinion, the books and the movies are classics - they will be read and watched by generations to come.

Here is the trailer for the first installment of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows:

I am so so so so excited to see this movie. No kidding, I get goosebumps everytime I watch this trailer. My throat gets all itchy and I feel like I want to cry. No joke. Dramatic as it may sound, but it's true. :)

Are you a Harry Potter fan too? Excited for the movie?

Happy Saturday, everyone! It's a long weekend, woot woot!!! :D
