Jennifer Behr Bridal Collection

Hi, everyone! It's Friday tomorrow, yay for the weekend! :)

I think Fall is really kicking off as I am now wearing a hoodie and a cold breeze is coming in from the window. Because of that I was really planning to look for cute coats and sweaters and share them with you guys, but then I suddenly realized that it's been weeks, maybe even months, since my last wedding-related post! Woah. :O

I have mentioned in my previous posts that I love headbands, and I made a post about Jennifer Behr headbands way way back. How is that wedding-related? They have a Bridal Collection! :D

Here are some of them:

double crystal scallop headwrap, $262

This headband can also be used for other occasions.

overlapping crystal twist, $188

I love how simple this one is.

wide crystal lace headwrap, $525

Perfect for a 1920s themed wedding.

tiny scalloped crystal, $155

Very understated. Simple. I can imagine this on a carefree, bohemian bride.

esther, $228

Very elegant. I would also wear this to add flair to an everyday outfit.

evangeline, $498

I love the detail.

sophia, $225

I love love love this one. I think it's perfect with the model's hairstyle.

bella, $225

This is a hand-stitched peony. If you love peonies, you might like this. :)

double poppy on headband with veiling, $675

I can imagine this worn with a simple white column wedding dress for an afternoon backyard or garden wedding. :)

And lastly, do you want something blue?

Bella Sapphire Branch Comb, $298

According to their website "Jennifer designed this piece exclusively for an Instyle.com special for the Twilight series' main character, Bella, to wear on her wedding day. This crystal comb was made to fit a description found in the 'Eclipse' novel of a blue sapphire wedding comb."

These are all very beautiful and I would love to own some, but yes, most of them are a bit too expensive. I'm thinking many talented bloggers (and non-bloggers too) can surely create some pieces like these. :D

Which ones are your favorites?

Have a great Friday, everyone! :)

How about some videos? :D

Hi everyone! I hope we all had an awesome Tuesday. It was chilly today here in LA - that makes me both sad and happy. Sad because, yes, I guess summer is really over. Happy because the heat really drove me crazy, it's almost scarves and boots season, and Christmas is just around the corner. :D

I have pictures ready for future blog posts, please watch out for those. ;) But, for now, I just want to share with all of you 3 videos - 1 music video and 2 movie trailers. Do you guys remember when YouTube started out? I honestly don't, it's like I don't remember life before YouTube and DVR, haha! Just kidding, okay, maybe not. ;)

One song that has been stuck in my head for maybe a week now is Enrique Iglesias' I Like It. Is it just me or does he look wayyyy cuter now than he did before? What song is stuck in your head?

Easy A looks like a fun movie. I think it's cool because I'm pretty sure the majority of us remember reading The Scarlet Letter in high school. Plus, Amanda Bynes is in this movie, and I like that she plays the mean girl - a change from her previous roles. I'm sad that she retired from acting. But anyways, there are also a lot of other actors in this movie - like one of my favorites, Stanley Tucci. :D

Would you watch this movie?

This next movie - You Again - is something that I would want to see. It has the typical "mean girl ruined my high school life is back in the scene" kind of theme, but the trailer looks promising. I'm excited. What do you think?

How do you keep your makeup organized?

Is it just me or does everyone notice that time - as in minutes and hours - seem to fly by? I look at the clock and it's 11am... then I look again, and it's 6pm. Woah there. It gets dark earlier now, so it must really mean that Fall is almost here. This weekend flew by too - we're going back to our normal routines. Kinda sad.

So you know how I told you guys about the pictures I took forever ago on this post? The pictures on today's post are part of that. Haha.

I remember how excited I was when I took these, and that excitement is back right now! I want to share with you guys how I organize my makeup. I was so happy when I realized that I had enough makeup to fill this big caboodle.

Photobucket

Before I started actually using makeup, I used to keep my modest collection in drawers and cupboards by the bathroom sink. And then my sister gave me that caboodle, and let me tell you, it is heaven sent! Now I see all the makeup products I own, and I get to use them all. It feels good to know that I know what I have and none of them would be wasted. :D

There are 6 "compartments" and one big one underneath.

These are the ones I use everyday, and whenever I am in a hurry:

Photobucket
my foundation, concealer, cream blush, MAC neutral eyeshadow quad, and a Clinique on-the-go makeup set

This compartment is all about lips! :)

Photobucket
There's Clinique, N.Y.C., e.l.f., Victoria's Secret, Nyx, Essence, and one from Forever21.

These two compartments are 1) stuff I use everyday, but won't fit in the first compartment and 2) stuff I use from time to time

Photobucket
My e.l.f. eyelash curler and Essence mineral compact powder, MAC foundation, e.l.f.blush, e.l.f. blotting papers, Clinique blush and eyeshadow set, and e.l.f. eyebrow kit.

These are all about the eyes - eyelids to be exact:

Photobucket
As you can see, I have a lot of e.l.f. products - they are great, especially for beginners like me. The quality is really good, and the price is even better!

These are also for the eyes - lashes and eyebrows:

Photobucket
There are different mascaras, two eyebrow shapers, and tons of eyeliners. It's actually funny that I have a lot of eyeliners because I rarely use them. Some of those I haven't even used - see, that Sephora one is still sealed. Haha.

Underneath all those compartments is this big area where I put my makeup sponges, makeup remover wipes, and other stuff that won't fit elsewhere. I keep my makeup remover wipes upside down because that way the moisture would go to all the wipes, and the first one I'd get would be just perfectly moist.

What about you, how do you keep your makeup organized? If you did a blog post about it, let me know - I would love to check it out. :)

Have a great week, everyone! :D

It's Sunday, what should my post be about?

Happy Sunday, everyone! Yay for having Monday off from school and/or work! :D

The title of my post is such because I've been sitting here for about 20 minutes trying to think of what I should share with everyone today, and I came up with nothing. So I went through my saved photos and found quite a number of pictures I've been meaning to prepare for future blog posts. Do you ever do that? Take tons of photos for your blog, and then just never get around to actually using them? Yup, that's me... I have some more photos of clothes and food and other stuff. I promise, those will be shown in future blog posts very soon. ;)

These are birthday gifts from my best friend (my birthday was in July, haha!).

I wore this gray top two days ago. I wore it with my shorts and yellow sandals (the same ones I wore for my first day of school - see the Polyvore version here), my little yellow satchel/ messenger bag, and a yellow beret. :D

This orange tube top is also very cute. I have an outfit in mind for it. Any tips on what I should wear with it? :)

Both tops are from Hollister.

She knows about my love for headbands, so she always gives me one (or more) whenever she finds one that I will love. One time (just out of nowhere), she bought me a red Minnie Mouse-esque headband, complete with a bow, from Disneyland. Haha. This one here is from Love Culture.

I also found this picture:

It was taken a couple of weeks ago, maybe even a month ago. I haven't done any NOTDs since I started blogging, so I thought it'd be nice to make one. But yeah, this is all I have... haha. It's China Glaze - Ruby Pumps. I love that color! I've also noticed that glitter-y nail polish dries wayyyy faster than regular ones. Do you know why that is?

I hope everyone had a restful weekend, and I wish everyone a wonderful week! :)

Strawberry Cake and an award! :)

Yay for the weekend - oh, I mean LONG weekend! It's Labor Day weekend over here = we have Monday off! :D

I might have mentioned before that I love to bake. While it is true that baked goodies made from scratch are really more delicious than those from a box, it is also true that baking from a box is easier. ;)

A few weeks ago, I tried to make a two-layer strawberry cake from a Betty Crocker box. It was easy to make, and more importantly it was delicious!

Directions from the box:

Photobucket

*please click the picture to make it bigger ;)*

Photobucket

All we need: the cake mix, 1 1/4 cups water, 1/3 cup oil, and 3 eggs

When I first saw the cake mix, I was like "How is this going to turn pink? It's white!" But fear not, it turns pink once all the ingredients are added. Haha.

Photobucket

One box of the cake mix is enough for 2 round pans.

Photobucket

I bake it for about 35 minutes. Make sure to grease and flour your pans so the cake won't stick.

Photobucket

Let them cool, take them off the pans, and then put on icing and decorate as you want. :)

They also have it in Party Rainbow Chip and Butter Recipe Chocolate.

Photobucket

Now, I wish I had a picture of the finished product, but I do not. After about an hour or so of waiting for the cake to be ready, my siblings were so excited to eat it. Haha. ;) Since I do not have pictures of my cake, I "Googled" some yummy and beautiful strawberry-flavored cakes.

*images from Google*

Have you tried baking your own cake? What is your favorite cake flavor?

I also have an award to pass on. The lovely AnieLii gave me an "I love your blog" award! Thanks, girl! :D

I pass this award on to the following lovely bloggers:

Same rules: Copy the icon on to your blog. Thank the person who gave it to you. Pass it on to blogs you love, and let them know. :D

I have more awards to give out which is perfect because there are so many bloggers out there who deserve awards, so please watch out for them! I will try to give them out soon. :D

I hope we all have a wonderful weekend! :)

Travel Destination: London

Happy Thursday, my dear friends! I hope everyone had a good start to their September! :D

I read somewhere that September is the best time to visit London. Is that information correct? But anyways, I thought it'd be nice to post another installment of my travel destination wishlist posts. And today's destination is London! :D

Here are beautiful photos of the city I found from different websites through Google:

When I go visit London, I am definitely going to have a picture of myself taken inside one of those iconic telephone booths. Haha, I remember Lindsay Lohan's character, Hallie, from The Parent Trap calling her twin sister, Annie, from a telephone booth. ;)

Big Ben

I've been fascinated with The London Eye since I read Sophie Kinsella's Twenties Girl. There was a part in the book that took place here, and I've been trying to imagine what it looks like from up there.

view from The London Eye

How cool is this???

I had a hard time picturing how it looks like... fortunately, there are pictures! Haha.

I think this picture is beautiful!

River Thames

Double-decker bus - Reminds me of Harry Potter!

Is the London Underground kind of similar to New York's subway system?

Tower Bridge

Trafalgar Square

Buckingham Palace

My friend said that the changing of the guards is one of the coolest things she's ever seen. ;)

The Tower of London - I remember the story my history teacher told us about what happened here. According to the stories, this is where King Richard III (formerly Richard, Duke of Gloucester) imprisoned and murdered King Edward IV's sons, Prince Edward V and Prince Richard.

St. Paul's Cathedral - 2010 marks its 300th anniversary

Westminster Abbey

Piccadilly Circus - According to http://www.kathika.com/, the Piccaddilly Circus is "much like Times Square in New York... originally connected the major shopping district of Piccadilly and Regent Street..."

Harrods

And of course, when I go to London, I am going to shop shop shop! I want to visit Harrods, Primark, Top Shop, and all the other cool stores London has to offer.

Where else should I go shopping when I visit London (hopefully sometime in the near future, haha!)? And any other spot we should visit? Tips? Recommendations?

Have you been to London? Do you want to visit too? :D
