Wedding Wednesday: Fireworks

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

Okay, so it's 7:42pm as I am typing this... it's already Thursday in some places, but it's still Wednesday here, so that counts as Wedding Wednesday, right?

Haha, anyway... I was looking through www.tressugar.com, and I saw photos of couples enjoying fireworks display on their wedding day. I think it's cool to have fireworks, and it is also an excellent photo opportunity! ;)

I think I definitely want to have fireworks when I get married in the distant future, haha. ;)

What do you think of having fireworks on your wedding day?

P.S. My Perricone giveaway is open until Saturday! Thank you and good luck to all those who entered, and if you haven't, please do join in! :D

Forever 21: Style Scrapbook - Vintage Romance

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, and I hope that your week started out well. :)

Last week, I went to the mall with my friends (yup, besides watching Harry Potter, hitting the mall is the highlight of my summer, haha!). We looked around our favorite stores (Forever21 and H&M, of course!) and some new-ish stores that we don't normally go to (Cotton On -- separate post, maybe?).

I was able to take two photos while at Forever21... I got way too busy looking at all the clothes, shoes, and accessories, haha. ;)

I could stay there for hours! ;P

My best friend and I both want a fascinator (haha!), and we were trying to see if Forever21 had a fascinator-type hair clip or something (they didn't), but they did have fedoras!

Here's one I liked. At $9.80, I think it's a good buy. :)

You'd think I got my Forever21 fix for the week, right? Nope, I had to check out their website too! ;)

They are featuring a collection from Los Angeles Stylists Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn. The collection is called Style Scrapbook - Vintage Romance. "Vintage Romance" sounds so pretty, right? They named their collection perfectly because the pieces are pretty, and definitely the type of clothes I would love to wear!

Here are some that I loooooved:

Crocheted Lace Dress ($27.80)

It looks so simple from the front, huh?

What I really liked about this is the back!

Applique Chiffon Dress ($22.80)

I love the applique! And you can style this dress in different ways.

Sleeveless Trench Coat ($27.80)

I love trench coats, but we rarely get the chance to wear them here in L.A. Sleeveless trench coat = genius!

Linen Blend Career Jacket ($29.90)

This linen jacket is light - it can be worn for Fall, Winter, and Spring.
For Fall, I'd wear it with skinny jeans, a cute top, and pumps. For Winter, layer it up! For Spring, I'd wear it the same way the model is wearing it, or perhaps with a floral dress? :)

Flower Print Shorts ($17.80)

Oh gosh, don't even get me started with those shorts. I saw a loooottt of shorts with cute prints at Forever21! Aaaaah, I wanted to buy them all!

A-Line Lace Skirt ($14.80)

I've also been on the lookout for lace shorts (I loved Emma Watson's shorts from her Lancome shoot)! But then, isn't this skirt pretty? I love that it's A-Line and that it's way above the knee so it won't make my legs look short. ;)

Braided Rope and Serpentine Necklace ($8.80)

At $8.80, this necklace is pretty cheap, don't you think?
At first look, I thought it would be about $10 or so. This necklace can dress up your outfit, and it also comes in a gold/black combo.

Pointed Leatherette Flats ($22.80)

These are versatile - you can wear them with shorts, skirts, or dresses. :)

*Sigh* That was nice -- shopping without spending a dime. ;)

Have you bought anything recently? Which of these pieces did you like the best?

Harry Potter... IT ALL ENDS. Give me more Kleenex!

Happy Friday!

So yup, after months of waiting, the day has finally come... it truly is the end of an era. *Sigh*

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 has already earned $126 million -- it hasn't even been in theatres for a full 24 hours... simply phenomenal. Okay, I should warn you guys, I'm probably gonna be gushing about Harry Potter for the remainder of this post. ;)

All the actors in this movie did a brilliant job (well, maybe Bonnie Wright could've done a better job at the bridge scene and the "19 years later" scene, but it's okay, I still loved the movie!).

Daniel Radcliffe did an amazing job. I am convinced that he is really Harry Potter, I mean who else would Harry Potter be besides Daniel Radcliffe, right? Haha, I hope that made sense.

"How dare you stand where he stood. Tell them what happened that night. Tell them how you looked him in the eye. A man who trusted you, and killed him!"

Rupert Grint... he's always been my favorite!!!
He can make you laugh and cry at the same time.

Emma Watson... the girl can do no wrong. One of her scenes made me tear up... I'm not gonna say which one though. ;)

And of course, the Ron and Hermione kiss! Some people say it wasn't good enough, but hey, we waited ten long years for that, so I am not complaining... now if only Rupert and Emma can be a real-life couple, haha. ;)

Matthew Lewis - I know the web has been all abuzz with how dashing our dear Neville Longbottom is in real life... come on, have you seen his recent red carpet photos?

I love how Neville shined in his own way in this movie. Yay, Neville! :D

Voldie, Voldie, Voldie... greatest villain of all time! Ralph Fiennes, you are amazing!

Snaaaaaape, I always knew you were good!

The flashbacks that explained Snape's background were a bit hurried, and it's probably confusing to those who haven't read the book, but I think they did it the best way they could. Alan Rickman is absolutely brilliant, I wonder why he's never been nominated for an Oscar...

Professor McGonagall!!! I love her.

"Potter, it's good to see you."

Fred and George -- my favorite twins ever!

Tom Felton... I love how well he portrayed Draco - Tom can make you hate him in one scene, and pity him in another.

Not gonna lie, it's not the same without Crabbe...
(No offense to the new guy, though... he was a good replacement.)

Our favorite witch and wizards. :)

I really hope they have more movies to come after Harry Potter. These three can totally be the next Colin Firth and Hugh Grant and Kate Winslet. ;)

Ten years, wow, ten years... what am I supposed to do now? No more Harry Potter books or movies to look forward to. :(

I was only 11 years old when this started, I honestly feel like I grew up with them... well, I did in a way. :)

Anyway, the movie... It's the kind of movie that will make you feel excited, make you cheer, make you laugh and cry, make you feel nostalgic, make you sad, make you feel happy -- it will probably evoke every kind of emotion there is. It was fast-paced, action-packed, and you can tell everyone involved in it did their best to give us the best ending possible - an ending that gives justice to this epic saga. I wish they added more dialogue to the "19 years later" though, but I understand it's a long book - and despite that, I still think they did an amazing amazing job with the movie. It's a beautiful ending to a beautiful story. And yet I still can't believe it's over!!!

Excuse me while I get some more Kleenex...

Do you need to dry your tears too? Well then, let's watch this funny video! :)

Robert Pattinson -- American? Whaaat?! Haha.
I think it will be easy for Tom Felton to get American roles, how excellent is his American accent? Rupert's expression when he asked if the Chips Ahoy were really chewy is priceless!

Have you seen Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2? Thoughts? (without spoiling anything though, haha) ;)

Beauty Idol: Jennifer Lopez

Happy Wednesday!

The past couple of months have been busy, so there are quite a number of blog posts I initially planned on doing that I wasn't able to do... one of them being this post. ;)

I don't know if you guys remember, but there was debate and disagreement over People magazine naming Jennifer Lopez the "World's Most Beautiful".

I agree that there are a lot of women out there who are as beautiful as (or more beautiful than) Jennifer Lopez. But I also gotta say that this is the most beautiful she's ever been. Anyway, this post is not meant to be a debate on whether or not she deserved that title, I just wanted to share the article with you guys, haha. ;)

I also remember way back in January, when American Idol started, I told you guys that I love her American Idol looks and that I should probably do a post on it... might as well put those with this post. ;)

Here are some of her American Idol looks:

***images from Google***

I've always admired Jennifer Lopez for being so hardworking, but I gotta admit, I absolutely didn't like her during her "Bennifer" days. I'm glad that she seems more down-to-earth, nicer, and more approachable now. I love how American Idol showed a different side of her. I wish she would make more movies though, I miss her rom-coms -- I loooove The Wedding Planner! ;)

What do you think of Jennifer Lopez?
Do you like her movies, her songs, her style?

P.S. Don't forget to enter my Perricone giveaway! Thanks to those who've already entered and I wish everyone good luck! :D

***UPDATE: Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony call it quits after 7 years of marriage. So sad!***

Tasty Tuesday: Oreo Truffles

Happy Tuesday!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend! :)

I just wanted to share a very easy and delicious recipe with you guys -- Oreo Truffles! :D

What you need and what to do:

- A package of Oreos

Put Oreos in food processor and set some aside.
If you don't have a food processor, no worries - put the Oreos in a big Ziploc bag and crush them with a pan or something of that sort. ;P

- 1 softened cream cheese

Mix the Oreo crumbs with the cream cheese.

I know that probably doesn't look too appetizing, but I promise it's going to be delicious! ;)

Form the Oreo-cream cheese mixture into balls.

- Chocolate (or white chocolate)

Melt it - either by double boiler or microwave.

Dip the Oreo-cream cheese balls into the chocolate.

The chocolate chips I used were actually a bit too sticky, but it worked out okay. Next time, I'm probably gonna use a chocolate bar instead.

After dipping them in chocolate, sprinkle your saved Oreo crumbs on top - make sure you do that right away, while the chocolate is still melted and sticky.

Refrigerate for an hour or two... and taaaaaa-daaaaa:

Delicious and pretty Oreo truffles!

These are perfect to just munch at home, serve as dessert when you have friends over, or even as a gift! I'm actually thinking of making a bunch to give my friends for Christmas -- I know it's a long time from now, but it's never too early to start planning your Christmas gifts, haha. ;)

Isn't this recipe very easy to follow? And the truffles are just delicious! :)

Do you have a different truffle recipe? Is this a recipe you might want to try?
