Store Spotlight: Chinese-Apparel.com! :)

Happy Saturday!

I just wanted to quickly share with you guys the new addition to my accessories collection: a new necklace!
My new necklace is from www.chinese-apparel.com, an online store that offers trendy and affordable pieces. :)

Chinese-Apparel.com aims to provide "a wide range of trendy products and one-stop service to worldwide wholesale companies and retail shops."

I was so excited to open the package pictured above because I knew that this is what's waiting inside:

Black Geometric Necklace
$3.20

So affordable, right?!

This looks a lot like the highly-popular 5 Station Necklace from House of Harlow! :)
The leather version of that necklace costs $75, while the black resin one costs $125 -- at $3.20, the Black Geometric Necklace from Chinese-Apparel.com is the perfect alternative to it... especially if you want the look, but don't necessarily want to spend that much money on it.

Here are the other items from Chinese-Apparel.com that caught my eye:

Vintage Bronze Rhinestone Deer Head Bracelet
$2.99

Vintage Fine Carved Artificial Emerald Ring
$2.29

Women's Loose Top
$17.99

Short Sleeve Grey Fall Blouse
$20.10

Red Peplum Skirt
$9.10

If I bought all 5 items on my list right now, my total would come up to $52.47 -- not bad, right?!
Especially because Chinese-Apparel.com is offering a free gift (your choice!) if your total adds up to $50 or more (shipping included)

This special offer is good until Saturday, September 15th -- one week from today! :)

What's New: Beauty of the Game EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12. Blanc Limited Edition

Happy Friday!

I know the Olympics are over, but the Paralympics are still going on, so it's not too late to get LACOSTE'S new take on their classic Eau de Lacoste L.12.12. :D

A month ago, I received an email about the new fragrance from Lacoste
They also asked me if I would like to receive a free sample, and of course I said yes. :)

I was expecting to receive a tiny sample (as is customary when it comes to fragrances), but instead I got a substantially big box (pictured above).

My favorite color! :)

They sent me a full-sized version of this particular fragrance... and no, not the 1 oz. bottle -- they sent me the 3.3 fl.oz. one -- WOW! Thank you, Lizzie! :)

Since this is for men, guess who got this awesome fragrance???
Yup, my brother! That lucky kid! ;)

EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12
THE LACOSTE POLOSHIRT IN A FRAGRANCE COLLECTION

We want to remind everyone that life is greater when it is lived like a game. Lacoste fragrances are celebrating the beauty of the game. Wrap your skin in a uniquely clean, fresh, and crisp scent with Eau de Lacoste L.12.12 Blanc Limited Edition.

The new limited edition "Beauty of the Game" version of their bestselling men's EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12 Blanc was released in July 2012.

The white outer carton features 10 crocodile images -- the brand’s iconic logo -- that embodies flags from countries all around the world. The flags symbolized are that of U.S.A., Spain, France, Argentina, Australia, UK, Brazil, Japan, Germany, and South Africa. The innovative design of the box reflects the everlasting universality of the brand. Bringing together cultures and different walks of life, Lacoste continues to be the global brand that this limited edition fragrance showcases.

Rosemary contributes to the woody floral creation of the EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12 Blanc fragrance which is based around a natural Tuberose for a clean and crisp scent.

Top Note: Grapefruit, Cardamom, Rosemary, Cedar Leaf
Heart Note: Tuberose Absolute, Olibanum Resinoid, Ylang-Ylang
Base Note: Vetiver, Suede, Cedarwood, Georgywood

It smells amazing!
It's perfect for my brother (especially when he has P.E., he said, haha!). ;)

EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12 Blanc Limited Edition is captured in a glass flacon that has been created to mirror the chic simplicity and shape of the LACOSTE L.12.12 polo shirt, complete with a textured piqué panel running down the side of the bottle.

The iconic Lacoste crocodile logo -- the same one found in their even more iconic polo shirts -- is found on the fragrance bottle. I think that's a really nice touch. My brother even said he won't throw away this bottle even when he finishes it. ;)

Price: $62 (100 ml/ 3.3 fl.oz.)
Available at Bloomingdale's and www.bloomingdales.com.

This is the perfect gift for the men in our lives -- Dad, brother, uncle, Grandpa, boyfriend, husband, best guy friend, etc. -- especially if they loved the Olympics! ;)

What do you guys think?
Is this something the men in your lives will like?

Happy Weekend! :D

House of Fraser Blogger Style Challenge

Happy Wednesday!

There is another blogger style challenge going on right now!
This time it's from House of Fraser and what's up for grabs is £200 worth of House of Fraser vouchers! :D

All you have to do is create a look for next season using items from www.houseoffraser.co.uk, blog about it, tell them what you love about the pieces and where you would wear the outfit.

School has already started for a lot of us, and so I decided to create a look that can be easily worn for school
(and for after school, haha!). ;)

According to www.elle.com, gold is one of the colors of Fall... it might not be the most appropriate color for school/daytime wear, but we can definitely put gold to use in our accessories.

The Mid-Rise Jeggings, Tuxedo Shirt, and Tailored Blazer are all from House of Fraser's Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection. Besides the tuxedo-style blazer, a lot of the other items from this look are also Fall-approved: Colored Bag, Not-So-Classic Loafer, and Menswear Watch. :D

When dressing up for school, two things are at the top of my list... my outfit has to be 1. comfortable and 2. stylish! :)

1. LABEL LAB Tuxedo Shirt (Was £50, Now £40) -

Classic. Versatile. Collegiate.
Can be dressed up with the right accessories.

2. OUI Slim Mid-Rise Jeggings (£89.95) -

Comfortable. Perfect pop of color.

3. TED BAKER Jira Tailored Stretch Suit Jacket (£199) -

Classic. Wardrobe staple. Great investment.

4. HEAD OVER HEELS Linzi H (£20) -

Something I've been wanting for months now. ;)

5. TED BAKER Turtel Patent Quilted Bag (£99) -

Gorgeous color!

6. PHASE EIGHT Layer Pendant Necklace (£30) -

Statement necklace. Versatile.

7. GUESS Crystal Crush Gold Ball Earrings (£35) -

Dainty. Simple. Classic.

8. MARY PORTAS Flower Ring (£45) -

Fun. Pretty. Lovely.

9. MICHAEL KORS MK3719 Runway (£165) -

Classic.
Will be used forever! ;)

10. RAY-BAN Unisex RB3025 Aviator Large Polar Sunglasses (£175) -

My outfits aren't complete without my trusty aviator sunglasses! ;)

A lot of the items from this look are classic and versatile -- two things that I've noticed are very important to me. :)

I love how these pieces can be paired with a lot of other pieces already in your closet to create other looks (another thing that's important to me, haha!). You can also change up the vibe of this outfit -- blazer on for a more serious and proper look, blazer off for a more casual and fun vibe. :D

What do you guys think? Do you like the outfit? Is this something you might want to wear?
Which Fall trends are you looking forward to wearing?

The contest will end on Monday, September 10th.
Good luck! :)

Thank You, Yahoo! :)

Happy Tuesday! :)

Browsing through Yahoo!'s news stories is a part of my daily routine.
Last week, I saw a Yahoo! article about an egg-separating trick that apparently even chefs didn't know... the article also came with a video from a Chinese website (jifenzhong.com) demonstrating the trick.

Here is the video:

I didn't understand a word (I want to learn their language, though!), but just watching this video totally blew my mind!
Wow, why didn't anyone tell us about this sooner?!

This is so cool!
I am looking up recipes that require either egg whites or egg yolks just so I can try this trick. ;)

I hope you are all having a wonderful week so far!
It's really so hard to get back on track after a long weekend, let alone after a whole summer (I'm still pretty much on summer mode, to be honest)... but I'll definitely get on with writing the posts I have scheduled for you guys! :D

Have a happy week! :)

Anastasia of Beverly Hills: She Wears It Well Face Chart Cards

Happy Saturday and Happy September!!! :)

A couple of weeks ago, I reviewed the She Wears It Well eye shadow palette from Anastasia of Beverly Hills for you guys... I mentioned that the palette came with exclusive promotional face charts and I promised to share those with you guys on a separate post... and that's exactly what this post is all about! ;)

Nine shades: Trophy/ Glow/ Latte/ Foxy/ Sunset/ Frosting/ Onyx/ Almond/ Toffee

These face charts are not available at retail, but they are so helpful and so amazing that I'd hate for you guys not to see them. Luckily, Anastasia of Beverly Hills gave me the go-ahead to share these with you guys -- they would love for these face charts to reach as many people as possible! :)

"Color and shading are key, and my palette was designed with both matte and shimmering neutral tones to be able to create anything from a classic matte cat eye to a simple, modern wash of shimmering color for everyday... no matter where or when a girl is from, She Wears It Well." -- Anastasia

1. Onyx: Night Owl -- A Knockout Smokey Eye

2. Frosting: Cat's Meow -- The Perfect Cat Eye

3. Almond: Cut A Rug -- A Classic Cut Crease

4. Foxy: Speakeasy -- A Nighttime Ombre Eye

5. Sunset: Eyes And Dolls -- Anytime Eyes

Cool, right?!
I love how these face charts offer tips on how to get the most out of the She Wears It Well palette. :)

My sisters and I had a blast trying the different looks -- the steps were simple and easy to follow... but of course, it takes practice to master putting on eye makeup.

My favorite looks are Night Owl and Cat's Meow
My sister's favorite is Speakeasy, while my other sister's are Cut A Rug and Eyes And Dolls.

Three different tastes and styles = one eye shadow palette. ;)

I like all nine shades, but my favorites are Foxy, Onyx, and Frosting.

Foxy -- I just really love the color. It's so rich and so beautiful!
Onyx -- I love how versatile it is, I seem to always need it for different looks.
Frosting -- It's subtle, light, and pretty... perfect for every day!

Price: $34
Available at Sephora and www.anastasia.net.

What do you guys think?
Which of these 5 looks are you most likely to try?

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!!! :D
