Beauty Talk: 15 Products You Have To Try

Just wanted to share a quick post with you guys... here are 15 beauty products Allure suggests we absolutely have to try in our lifetime:

1. Chanel No.5 Eau De Toilette -

I definitely want to add this to my perfume collection someday!

2. La Mer Crème De La Mer -

My Mom and my sister splurged on this before, and they said it truly is so worth it!

3. Crest 3D White Professional Effects Whitestrips -

I can attest to how amazing these whitestrips are... they are a must-have!

7. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant -

You can use this to moisturize dry skin and lips -- versatile!

8. Mason Pearson Hair Brush -

I don't really use hair brushes, but this one sounds amazing -- it detangles and smooths for a "perfect, shiny, shampoo-commercial hair".

9. Dior Diorshow Buildable Volume Mascara -

I love mascara and this is on my list!

10. Shu Uemura False Lashes in Farfallina -

Allure says these look exactly like real lashes -- score!

11. Guerlain Meteorites Pearls -

I really, really want to try this!

12. Rodin Olio Lusso Luxury Face Oil -

Dewy complexion sounds great to me!

13. Tweezerman Slant Tweezer -

Every girl needs a good pair of tweezers. ;)

14. Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips -

The designs are really pretty!

15. Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage -

Concealer is a major part of my everyday makeup routine... I really want to buy this one because one shade is designed to match our skin color and the other to match its undertones -- WANT! ;)

My Splurge: UGG® Australia Dakota Moccasins

I know I always complain about the weather, but this time it's actually connected to today's post, haha! ;)

On Monday, it was freezing... today it was just right... tomorrow it's gonna be hot -- sometimes I don't know which shoes to wear, do I go for boots or ballet flats or sandals? Frustrating, right?! Now, this is where my moccasins come in the picture...

If you've been reading my blog posts for a while now, you probably remember how much I love bargains... but a few months ago, I finally caved and spent $100 on these babies:

I was debating whether I should just spend my hundred bucks on clothes or on these shoes... and obviously, this choice won, haha! ;)

UGG® Australia Women's Dakota Moccasins

So beautiful! I'm in love! ;)

Color-saturated suedes with leather-lace detailing, the Dakota is moccasin-inspired style meets the iconic comfort of UGG® slippers. A soothing sheepskin lining lends breathable warmth without heat, while a molded-rubber outsole delivers whisperweight durability for indoor/outdoor, all-day wear.

These shoes are quite possibly the most luxurious ones I own -- it's so well-made, I was so impressed!

I got them in size 6 -- they were tight at first, but it expands to mold into the shape of your feet.

I was on the verge of exchanging them for a size 7 because they were tight, but I read that if you get it a size bigger, it's gonna end up too loose since it expands anyway -- thank goodness I read that review because otherwise I would now have loose moccasins, haha!

So yup, just wanted to share that little tidbit with you guys. :)

The inside is lined with genuine sheepskin -- so soft and so luxurious!

Their sheepskin sock liner is breathable and it naturally wicks away moisture, keeping feet dry.

I love how it keeps my feet warm, while still keeping it dry -- that's why it's the perfect pair of shoes for in between weather! :)

The stitching is really excellent, as you can see above.

They also feature a leather lace and bow detail.

The UGG® logo is embossed using lateral heat -- I love how it's subtly there.

It also has a molded gum rubber bottom... not exactly sure what that means (haha!), but I am amazed at this sole -- they never seem to get dirty! The toe area has some scuffs, but the sole is still clean! I don't know if it means there's not much dirt where I walk or if it's really meant to be like that, but I am just amazed, haha! ;)

Color: Chestnut

One last thing I love about these moccasins: they pretty much go with anything!

At $100, it may be pricey, but they're UGG®s and they are so worth it!

I actually want to get another pair in black and maybe pewter -- there are 9 colors to choose from! ;)

What's New: ShaToBu Get Fit Shaping Footless Tights

The time in between Winter and Spring is quite frustrating when it comes to choosing an outfit -- I never know if I should just go ahead and wear a dress or if I should still stick to leggings or pants... thank heavens for tights, though! ;)

A couple of months ago, Chun from MyTights.com sent me a pair of footless tights to review for you guys...

Gotta love packages!

First off, here's a little something about MyTights straight from its founder, Laura:

Out of the many amazing products they offer, here is what I chose:

ShaToBu Get Fit Shaping Footless Tights

These calorie burning footless tights act like your normal shapewear, flattening your stomach and firming your butt and hips, but features resistance bands which help you to burn more calories! These ShaToBu Get Fit Footless Tights will make your figure look great and your muscles work harder so you get fitter with no extra effort - every woman's dream!

I have been wanting to get a pair of ShaToBu tights for the longest time now, and that is why I was so excited to receive this!

They definitely live up to the description of being a pair of tights and shapewear at the same time.

They fit well and they conform to the body's shape.

Another thing I love about it is that the waistband doesn't roll down like regular tights do.

They do not exactly flatten the stomach, but they do streamline and smooth any bumps and lines.

About the resistance bands... they are definitely there, but I'm not so sure about the burning calories part -- I guess the only way to know for sure if that works is if you wear this every day.

These tights must be worn with a dress or a tunic because they are quite sheer as you can see from the picture above.

And there is a line separating the darker part of the tights from the sheer part -- not exactly sure what that is for...

So yup, these are definitely more pricey than regular tights, but if you are looking for a high quality one for everyday use, then these are the perfect pair to reach for.

By the way, I took some photos of the outfit I wore with these tights, yay! ;)
