Review: GLAMCOR Professional Glamour First Impression Performance Primer

Happy Thursday!

May means June is just around the corner... and that means IMATS Los Angeles is also just around the corner! :)

I just realized that I have some IMATS goodies that I promised I would review for you guys.
It's been almost a year, but better late than never, right? ;)

Let's start with my GLAMCOR Professional Glamour First Impression Performance Primer.

GLAMCOR considers skin primer the most critical step in the makeup application process. Our formula is designed to be the highest performing primer in the industry.

GLAMOUR FIRST IMPRESSION allows foundation to go on smoother and more evenly resulting in better looking and longer-lasting finishes. This product will not compete with foundations, shadows, or other cosmetic product. You will not have that oily shine later in the day, and your makeup payoff will increase significantly. It dries quickly (we recommend a dry time of 30 seconds before applying cosmetics on top).

- integrates with foundation
- increases makeup payoff
- quick drying time

Primer isn't really a part of my everyday makeup routine, but when I have extra time in the morning and when I need my makeup to be picture-perfect (for special occasions like parties, graduations, etc.), this really comes in handy!

Primer really does help makeup look better, and I am so lucky that I got this for free at last year's IMATS!

This works really, really well. It makes my skin smooth, which in turn helps makeup go on and stay on better.
It lasts a long time -- a little goes a long way, one pump is usually enough for me.

At first, it felt a bit heavy on the hands, but once I spread it out it wasn't heavy at all -- it's actually lightweight.
It also has a somewhat oily feel, but again, once it is spread out skin absorbs it quickly and the oily feeling goes away.

The formula is gel-like, clear, and unscented.

It can be applied by hand or brush.
I use my hands to put this on, and it works well for me.
However, GLAMCOR recommends using their Contour Brush for optimum performance and results:

The brush is $75 -- it is definitely on my wishlist! I heard that it really works great with the primer.

The primer is sold for $45 on www.glamcor.com.
The price is pretty high (at least for me, haha!), but I think it is definitely worth it -- the primer is excellent and it lasts a long time. It's a product I can see myself using well into the future.

Have you used GLAMCOR Professional Glamour First Impression Performance Primer?
Have you tried anything from GLAMCOR? Which primer are you currently using?

I hope you are all having a great week -- the weekend is almost here! :)

  11. I was never really interested in primers, but I knew that they would
help with makeup application, etc. I picked up a primer sample today
from a company called Arbonne. They're a organic, vegan skincare brand :)
I should do a review on it once I actually use it on my face :p

  27. I am always on the lookout for a good primer since I have very oily skin. I have been using the Laura Mercier oil free primer and one from this Japanese brand called Esprique Precious.
