Wedding Wednesday: Celebrity Engagement Rings

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

For my first Wedding Wednesday post of the year, I was thinking of counting down my most anticipated celebrity weddings for 2012 -- but then I realized, how was I to know if those weddings will happen this year?

So, I decided that we will talk about celebrity engagement rings instead. 

It's always fun to talk about and look at sparkly jewelry, haha!

And these couples aren't married yet, so we should definitely wait and see if they will tie the knot this year. ;)

Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied - 

Their engagement and Natalie's pregnancy were announced in December 2010.

They welcomed son Aleph in 2011.

Benjamin popped the question with this custom-made ring made of recycled platinum and conflict-free diamonds -- honoring his Oscar winner girlfriend's vegan and eco-friendly lifestyle. The antique diamond center is surrounded by a glittering diamond-encrusted outer design.

Kate Hudson and Matthew Bellamy - 

They announced Kate's pregnancy first, and then she showed off her gorgeous diamond ring to Matt Lauer a few months later. They welcomed son Bingham in 2011.

The Muse frontman gave Kate this beautiful emerald-cut diamond ring. The ring is set in a platinum band and features tapered baguettes on the side. It is approximately nine carats and is reportedly worth $200,000.

Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman - 

Anne and Adam announced their engagement over Thanksgiving.

Adam helped design Anne's 6-carat Kwiat diamond ring; it is worth approximately $150,000.

Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman - 

Drew's art consultant fiancé popped the question when the pair were vacationing in Sun Valley, Idaho.

This colorless radiant-cut diamond ring from Graff Diamonds is set on a diamond-covered band and weighs just under 4-carats.

Britney Spears and Jason Trawick - 

Jason asked the pop star to marry him on his 40th birthday.

Britney's Neil Lane ring features a white round diamond set on a band encrusted with 90 small round diamonds.

Elizabeth Hurley and Shane Warne - 

Elizabeth and Shane announced their engagement this past October.

The Australian cricketer presented this sapphire ring to Elizabeth Hurley. 

The sapphire center stone is approximately nine carats, while the Trillion cut diamonds on each side are two carats. 

The ring reportedly cost $100,000.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen -  

John and his model girlfriend got engaged over the holidays.

The singer popped the question with this emerald cut diamond ring set on a slim pave band.
The ring is estimated to be about 5 carats and is said to be worth over $300,000.

We have yet to see their engagement rings, though. ;)
