Banded Babes: Be The Mane Attraction

Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend! :D

I may have told you guys about my obsession with headbands many times before, but I've noticed that I haven't been buying new ones recently... maybe it's because I've simply outgrown them or maybe I just found other things to love and collect (bags and coats just to name a few...), but seeing this page in a magazine definitely reawakened the headband lover in me:

I checked my headband drawer and I saw that I have a lot of headbands with big bows (from high school) and elastic braided headbands (from my beach boho phase).
I seriously need to update my collection! ;)

Another thing I need to update? My Polyvore account!
So, I went on Polyvore and I found headbands that match these four trends:

Banded Babes
Top: Edgy Spikes/ Rock Candy
Bottom: Boho Bling/ Solids and Stripes

1. Edgy Spikes - A studded band calls for hair with tons of attitude.
2. Rock Candy - Balance a chunky accessory with sleek hair.
3. Boho Bling - Placed at the hairline, a sparkler looks gorge with face-framing curls.
4. Solids and Stripes - Surfy waves and a flirty band work day or night.

Before I go and buy more headbands though, I decided to check out the ones I already have...

While I have yet to get a headband like Nicole Richie's, I'll make do with these. ;)

    Lot of girls around here wear the sporty rubberband ones..for sports. And I have even managed to make a tie-dye one from an old T-shirt I use when I'm cleaning my face or just cleaning up. I've crocheted a few. Usually, I can't find one comfy enough for too long of a time.

    These are really cool, that you mentioned.

    I have been wearing headbands non-stop lately. I LOVE subtle ones that match your hair color as they add a bit more texture. But Dianna's headband is my FAVE! :)

    Ahh, this post was headband heaven! I first got into headbands because of Blair Waldorf's endless cute ones in Gossip Girl, and I've just never been able to go back. These are AWESOME! I like Dianna Agron's too!

    headbands! I used to wear them when I was very little
    and was quite popular in the 90's I believe, but I haven't
    really seen them around until Blair started wearing them :p
    I love headbands, but sometimes I feel like they flatten
    my head or make my face shape appear rounder? not sure ><
    I rarely wear them, but I do love them :)
