Out And About: 2012 MTV Movie Awards

Happy Tuesday, everyone! And Happy June! :D

The last four days have been incredibly busy, but the highlight of my weekend has got to be the 2012 MTV Movie Awards! :)

Quite honestly, I didn't know it was happening until I went on Twitter and saw people talking about it. And then my friend told me that Russell Brand (this year's host) was giving away tickets on Twitter. So I tweeted, thinking at the back of my mind that I probably won't win anyway, until... I got a direct message from Russell Brand!!!

Haha, okay, so it probably wasn't Russell Brand who sent that message, but who cares, right?! 

I'm so close to winning a ticket to the 2012 MTV Movie Awards!

And the next day, I got an email giving me details on how to pick up my ticket.

I picked up my ticket the same day the cast and director of Rock of Ages had a sort of Meet-and-Greet at CityWalk, so I got to see Julianne Hough, Diego Boneta, Malin Akerman, and Adam Shankman -- it was definitely turning out to be one awesome weekend! ;)

They said cameras weren't allowed, so I didn't bring mine because I didn't want to risk it in case they confiscate them or something (you all know how important cameras are to bloggers like us, I can't lose mine, haha!). But, I did take some photos using my iPhone -- I didn't have the best vantage point and while some pictures came out pretty clear, others are quite blurry, but nevertheless I hope you guys enjoy them! :)

Getting ready for the show... a lot of seats to be filled:

I got there at around 5pm, and I was in my seat by 5:30pm.
People were continuously entering the amphitheatre. The air was electric and exciting! :)

At one point, we were asked to move to the edge of the section we were sitting on because they were going to film a segment there -- I guess it's because they wanted it to look like all the seats were filled. There were a lot of empty seats, by the way! I was actually able to move from Aisle C to Aisle A, good thing that happened because otherwise, I wouldn't be able to take any photos at all! ;)

On commercial breaks, everyone in the lower section of the amphitheatre walked around, including the celebrities!

Josh Hutcherson won Best Male Performance, while Jennifer Lawrence won Best Female Performance... huge Hunger Games fan here, so I was cheering like crazy! ;)

Adam Sandler, Leighton Meester, and Andy Samberg presented the Best Kiss Award.

I love how Adam Sandler can get away with just wearing pants, a shirt, and a baseball cap! ;)

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson won Best Kiss, but R.Patz wasn't there so K.Stew had to "kiss herself" after being "rejected" by Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth (who was even more handsome in person, by the way), and Taylor Lautner. ;)

Johnny Depp was presented the MTV Generation Award.

Josh Hutcherson and Alexander Ludwig accepted the Best Fight Award.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 won Best Cast.
Emma Watson accepted the award by herself, though. I thought her speech was so sweet, and I love her shout out to Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint at the end. You can bet I was cheering even more crazily than I did for The Hunger Games, haha! ;)

Elizabeth Banks won Best On-Screen Transformation for The Hunger Games.
Definitely well-deserved!

Emma Stone was given the first Trailblazer Award.
What a sweet speech as well! :)

The Dark Knight Rises director and cast -- Christopher Nolan, Gary Oldman (I wonder why he didn't accept the Best Cast Award with Emma, hmm...), Christian Bale, and JGL!!! ;D

Last award of the night... Best Movie went to The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1.
Not gonna lie, I was sad that Harry Potter didn't win, but it's okay, haha! ;)

It was so cool to see how things work live -- behind-the-scenes and behind what we see on TV.
It was an amazing experience! I never thought I'd be able to watch an awards show live and be in the same place as all the celebrities I only see on TV and in magazines. This is definitely an experience I will remember forever. ;)
