IMATS Spotlight: Beauty Treats Makeup Remover Cleansing Tissues

Happy Thursday/ Friday!

Do you want to know how behind I am on sharing with you guys the stuff I got from last year's IMATS?
I'm so behind that it's IMATS time once again! Yup, I'll be attending IMATS for the third year in a row this Saturday!
Each year that passes, I get more and more excited because I am more and more into makeup and beauty, haha! ;)

I am probably gonna be busy tomorrow (shopping for something to wear, woohoo!), so I shall leave you guys with this post for the weekend...

One of the best buys of my life has got to be these Makeup Remover Cleansing Tissues from Beauty Treats!
And I got them at $3 each at last year's IMATS!
(Click the link to see all my IMATS posts.)

The original price is $3.99 -- it is so affordable that IMATS or not, I am definitely gonna continue buying these amazing makeup remover wipes!

Our Makeup Remover Cleansing Tissues are pre-moistened to gently remove all traces of makeup, waterproof eye makeup, dirt, and oil. Formulated with natural herb extracts, Vitamin E, and smoothing cornflower, these convenient pre-moistened tissues work in seconds, leaving your skin clean, soft, and smooth.

These are seriously THE best makeup remover wipes ever!!!
I am so amazed with them, I think it's safe to say that as long as I wear makeup, I will never be able to live without it.

They are available in five scents: Green Tea, Cucumber, Aloe, Apricot, and Collagen.

I love fresh scents, so I chose Green Tea. :)

30 Pre-Moistened Tissues
Contains Green Tea Extract & Vitamin E
Gently Removes Makeup
For All Skin Types

It smells great!
The Green Tea scent is so refreshing and so relaxing!

Besides smelling great, they also never seem to dry out -- how amazing, right?!
I always expect to one day find them hard and dried out like other makeup wipes I've tried before, but nope, not this one! ;)

It's all-natural, so it doesn't sting or burn.
They are so gentle -- I even use them to remove my eye makeup sometimes and they don't make my eyes hurt at all!

They are good-sized wipes and they are super soft!

They aren't joking around when they said these wipes remove all traces of makeup -- I even used it to take my lipstick off and it took it ALL off! It didn't taste like anything, so amazing!

So yup, bottom line: These are THE best, they are affordable, and I'm sure you guys will love it too! ;)

I cannot wait to see what other awesome products I will find at IMATS on Saturday... and of course, I will share every single thing with all of you! :D

Have you tried these Makeup Remover Cleansing Tissues before? Would you like to?
What are your plans for the weekend?

I hope you all have a fabulous one! :)

What's New: CampusBookRentals.com

Happy Wednesday!

If you've been following my blog for a while now, you might remember how much I love bargains and saving money... I mean, come on, don't we all? ;)

Textbooks are one of the most expensive necessities ever!
My books for school usually cost around $100 and up -- if you have 4 classes, that's around 400 bucks just for books you will use for one semester! Insane, right?

Thank heavens for www.CampusBookRentals.com because I wouldn't have to spend a fortune on my textbooks this coming Spring semester! :)

I can't believe I never thought of renting books before!

Fellow College students, here are the perks of renting textbooks from CampusBookRentals.com:

- You can save 40-90% off of bookstore prices.
- Free shipping both ways!
- You can highlight the textbooks.
- They have flexible renting periods.
- They have a guaranteed 30-day risk-free returns.
-They have been a trusted source since 2007!
-They have a live customer support.
- They have the largest selection of textbooks in the nation.
- They donate to Operation Smile with each textbook rented -- how amazing is this?!

Not only do we get to save money, we also get to help a wonderful cause!

Operation Smile is an international children's medical charity that heals children's smiles, forever changing their lives.

This sounds like a total win-win to me! :)

Comparison between purchasing used or renting textbooks for homeschooling. #YVSGEXPO2013

But wait, they're not done... besides saving money and helping children out, CampusBookRentals also wants to give us a chance to earn some extra cash through their new program called RentBack!

RentBack is new initiative that allows students to rent the textbooks they own to other students... which is awesome because it helps us earn 2 to 4 times more money compared to what we'd make through buyback options! So awesome! :)

How does it work?

What do you guys think? Where do you buy your books?
Do you have other tips on how to save money?

I hope you are all having a fantastic week! :D

Red Carpet Recap: 2013 Golden Globe Awards

Happy Monday!!!

Awards Season totally helps in curing Holiday Season withdrawals, don't you think?
Last night's Golden Globe Awards has got to be my most favorite one so far -- Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, it doesn't get better than that. ;)

Anyway, let's get down to business and talk about what the stars wore:

Jennifer Garner -

Jennifer Garner

I put Jennifer Garner first because I really, really love her!
If you could choose a celebrity to be your Mom, who would you choose? I'd choose Jennifer Garner! ;)

The mom of three (Can you believe she has three kids???) looked absolutely beautiful in this Vivienne Westwood Couture burgundy sequin strapless gown -- the color is so gorgeous!

Adele -

NBC's

Adele looked amazing in her black Burberry dress and her Cartier jewels.
Her hair and makeup = flawless!

Jennifer Lawrence -

70th Annual Golden Globe Awards …

When I first saw the Best Actress winner in this dress, I wasn't quite sure if I liked it... but it totally grew on me and it looked amazing as she was walking up the stage. If anyone can pull off this Dior Haute Couture dress, it's Jennifer Lawrence.

Emily Deschanel -

70th Annual Golden Globe Awards …

I love how simple and elegant Emily Deschanel looked in her Badgley Mischka jet crepe column gown!
The deco beading detail at the shoulder adds just the right amount of design to the dress.

Kate Hudson -

Kate Hudson

When does this woman ever not look gorgeous???
She totally rocked her Alexander McQueen dress.

Kristen Bell -

70th Annual Golden Globe Awards …

Some fashion critics didn't like this look, but I loved it!
I think the mom-to-be looked great and I love her Jenny Packham dress -- so pretty!

Anne Hathaway -

NBC's

I was cheering like crazy when Anne Hathaway won!
There's nothing surprising about the Best Supporting Actress winner's beaded Chanel strapless dress (from the SS09 Haute Couture Collection), but it's so Anne -- simple and beautiful!

Amy Adams -

70th Annual Golden Globe Awards …

She always looks fantastic, don't you think?
Even though this Marchesa dress is not my absolute favorite, I still think it's gorgeous.

BTW, they're making Enchanted 2 -- I am so so so excited!!!

Taylor Swift -

70th Annual Golden Globe Awards …

I'm happy that Taylor decided to stay away from her usual sparkly dresses, but I am not a fan of this look.
I think her Donna Karan Atelier taffeta gown is a wee bit too frumpy and wrinkly. Not to mention, I don't think it fits her too well, it's a little loose.

Rachel Weisz -

70th Annual Golden Globe Awards …

She's so pretty, but I'm not sure I can say the same about her Louis Vuitton dress.
I just don't get it... I feel like it's something I would've worn to a birthday party (minus the sheer skirt) when I was in high school. :/

Halle Berry -

70th Annual Golden Globe Awards: …

Gorgeous woman, not so gorgeous dress.
I am not a fan of Halle Berry's printed Atelier Versace gown... the high slit plus the cutout details plus the busy print were a bit too much to put together in one dress.

There we have it, that's the end of my 2013 Golden Globe Awards red carpet recap!
Because I wanted to keep this short, there are a ton of looks not included on this post, so tell me...

Whose look did you like the best? Whose look did you not like at all?
What were your favorite moments from last night's show?

I hope you are all having a great start to the week!

Influenster: Holiday VoxBox 2012

Happy Weekend!!!

Continuing my goal of posting one haul post a week, I thought I should go ahead and share with you guys what was inside my Holiday VoxBox 2012 from Influenster. :)

I was so excited when I found out that I was picked to receive one of their Holiday VoxBoxes!
It's so exciting to know you're receiving items to try out, but not know what they are exactly, haha! ;)

Influenster Holiday VoxBox 2012

A little information about the VoxBox:

Tis the season, and we're celebrating with our Holiday 2012 VoxBox.
Inside this box, you'll find some great products to cozy up with this Holiday Season.

What was inside the box?

1. Sole Society -

Influenster is giving all of us shoe lovers a chance to get $25 off our first pair of shoes from www.solesociety.com

They have shoes starting at $49.95 -- with $25 off, you're looking at spending just $24.95... not bad, right?!
Use the code INFLUENSTER25. Code valid until January 31st.

Besides this awesome Sole Society coupon, here are the other items in my VoxBox:

2. Quaker Real Medley Oatmeal + -

I love eating oatmeal!
However, I am not much of a fan of flavored oatmeal, but this Peach Almond flavor is actually good. It had real, actual almonds -- I loved it! :)

Also available in Apple Walnut, Cherry Pistachio, and Summer Berry.

3. NYC New York Liquid Color Lipshine -

I love lip products and I can't say no to a new lip gloss, haha! ;)

This is a good kind of lip gloss -- not the best, but not bad either.
At $2.49, I don't think we can go wrong with this.

I got it in Nude York City -- it's a basic nude color.
Other shades available are City's Clear, Brighton Beach Peach, Prospect Pink, Fashion Avenue Fuchsia, Rivington Rose, Midtown Mulberry, Honey On The Hudson, Wine N Dine, and Big Apple Spice.

4. Kiss Nail Dress -

I've always wanted to try stick on nail products!
I got some from ASOS before, but they didn't work out too well.

This one worked really well, though.
And it's definitely long-lasting -- it lasts longer than regular nail polish.

Here is a peek at how it looked on:

The directions were pretty straight forward and are easy to follow.
The shape and size are kind of awkward for the middle nail, but it's okay.

I guess it just really comes down to practice makes perfect.
It's not a flawless product, but it's the best I've tried so far. :)

Check out the other designs here.

5. EBOOST Energy Drink -

I'm not really a fan of energy drinks or flavored water, but my brother liked this one.
He said it did make him feel energized and the flavor tasted okay.

I got it in Natural Acai Pomegranate.
Other flavors: Orange and Pink Lemonade.

6. Goody Quikstyle Brush -

This has got to be the coolest item from the box!
The absorbent microfiber bristles absorb an average of 30% water for faster styling = so amazing!!!

7. Montagne Jeunesse Masque -

Face Mask + Chocolate = Perfect!
Who can say no to a facial mask that smells like chocolate??? ;)

This was my very first VoxBox and I am definitely very happy with it!
I liked some of the items more than the others, but it's still very exciting to get a chance to try out products I wouldn't normally buy otherwise.

If you guys want a more in-depth review on any of these products, please feel free to let me know in the comments below. :)

Did you receive a Holiday VoxBox from Influenster? Which product was your favorite?
Have you tried these products before? Which one would you like to try the most?

I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend! :D

Travel Thursday: Destinations To Watch In 2013

Happy Thursday!

I can't believe I haven't written a travel post in months!
One of my longstanding goals is to travel the world, and while I can't do that just yet, I must content myself with traveling virtually for now, haha! ;)

Who wants to "travel" with me right now?
Let's go?

Here are the destinations to watch in 2013 according to Yahoo! Travel:

1. Ireland

The Gathering Ireland 2013: "This yearlong celebration of Ireland and its people includes festivals, concerts, clan gatherings, and special sporting events. With more than 70 million people around the world claiming Irish descent (including 44 million Americans), this is shaping up to be the ultimate family reunion."

2. San Francisco -

"2013 is shaping up to be the year of the waterfront in San Francisco. The already popular stretch between the Bay Bridge and the Golden Gate is getting some high-profile additions."

3. Amsterdam -

"2013 marks 400 years of Amsterdam's iconic canal system. Anniversary events include special tours, exhibitions, and ice-skating. The Artis Royal Zoo turns 175, and the Royal Concertgebouw celebrates 125 years."

4. Hangzhou -

"In 2013, with a new train station, high-speed service to nearby Shanghai, and a new metro opening phase by phase, it will be easier than ever to explore this undiscovered gem of China."

5. Zambia -

"This coming year marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of famed explorer David Livingstone, whose namesake city of Livingstone is a popular gateway to the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls."

6. Nashville -

"In 2013, Nashville will throw open its arms in a great big country embrace. A new events center, a museum, a hotel, and multiple restaurants offer plenty of reasons to make the trip to Music City."

7. Florida -

"Happy 500th, Florida! In 2013, the state will celebrate a half millennium since Juan Ponce de Leon landed on its shores. Heritage trails and paddling expeditions are among the already announced events, and more will be finalized on the Viva Florida 500 website as the year draws closer."

8. Croatia -

"The last two years have already brought new hotels and improvements to popular tourist attractions, and the country's stated goal is to make travel easier for foreign visitors in the coming years."

9. Turkey -

"Turkey is soaring. This gateway between Europe and Asia has long been on the radar of travelers looking for the flavor of both continents, but its rise as a global air hub is set to make it a crossroads to the world."

10. Capitals of Culture -

"Capitals of culture, sports, food, music and more are popping up all over the world... The pack is impressive and includes Marseille, France, as a European Capital of Culture; Bogota, Colombia, as a UNESCO City of Music; and Jeonju, South Korea as a UNESCO City of Gastronomy."

Read more about all these amazing destinations here.

I love San Francisco and I cannot wait to take a road trip up north soon!
My family and I were supposed to go to Nashville before, but my parents got the flu, so we ended up just staying in Memphis! :/
Florida is definitely on my list and so are all these other places -- aaaahhhh, if only we can just jump on a plane and travel! ;)

Have you been to any of these destinations before?
Do you have some travel plans for the year?

I hope you are all having a lovely week!
