Polyvore and Tagged by Dizzy and L!nL!n! :)

Today is the last day of August! Crazzzyyy! Today was also my first day of school. It went well - my teacher is nice and cool, my classmates are a good bunch too - I'm excited to meet new friends! I forgot to take a picture of what I wore today (tsk tsk, Mimi!), so I thought I'd just make a Polyvore that looks somewhat like my outfit. It wasn't too hot today so it was okay to wear black, and the sleeves were okay too. But I chose to wear shorts because jeans would just be way too hot. I wore my white watch that looks somewhat like that (but is more affordable!). To add a pop of color, I wore my yellow sandals and yellow bracelet. My black bag was just the right size - big enough to fit my notebook and other stuff, but small enough that it's easy to carry around. I also love how it looks somewhat like that lovely Miu Miu bag. :D

What is your ideal first day outfit?

I was also tagged by Dizzy and L!nL!n! Thanks to you both! :D
These questions are from Dizzy:

1 --- What’s your favorite song? And why? - I really don't have one particular favorite song... right now though, Enrique Iglesias' Like It is stuck in my head because it's the last song I heard.

2 --- Would you rather be the last person alive on earth or would you rather be stuck with the last person alive, which happens to be Prince? - Hahaha, this made me laugh, why can't the last person be someone cute? Haha, I guess I'll just pick being stuck with Prince - at least I won't be alone.

3 --- What’s your most prized possession? And why? - I wouldn't say it's my most prized possession because there are more important things out there, but it's definitely very very important to me (oh, okay fine, I guess I can say it is my most prized possession) - my Louis Vuitton Speedy bag because my parents gave it to me for my 18th birthday, and I would never trade it even for a newer LV.

4 --- If you can have one super power, what would it be? And why? - I would pick being able to turn back time. Imagine how many mistakes, accidents, and tragedies we can stop or prevent if we can turn back time?!

5 --- Would you rather be stuck in a room with Richard Simmons or would you rather be stuck in a room with Adolf Hitler? - Hmmmm, I guess I'd go with Richard Simmons.

6 --- What were you doing the last time you really had a good laugh? - I remember my sister said something really funny.

7 --- If you can go back in time? Where would you go? And why? - Oh my gosh, this is connected to my answer for #4... hmmm, I really don't know, there are so many things that I want to go back to...

8 --- MAC or PC? - I really don't mind - either one as long as the internet connection is excellent.

Thanks for this, Dizzy! :D

Shopping: Camarillo Premium Outlets

Hi, everyone! I hope we all had a relaxing weekend. We have another week ahead of us - many are now coming back to school or are finally getting into the swing of things. I also have to tell you that these past few days, there is a definite chill in the air! I love it especially because I've been complaining about the intense heat (haha!), but it is also a reminder that summer is indeed coming to an end. Well, at least, we have Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas to look forward to, right?

Anyways, on my last post I told you guys that I went to the Camarillo outlets. We were only able to check out four stores - Ann Taylor, J.Crew, Oakley, and Guess. I have pictures to share! :D

Photobucket

I love the color of this top!

I thought I'd take a picture of these office attires for my fellow bloggers who need to wear clothes like these for work. :)

Photobucket

They have a 40% off sale.

Photobucket

Photobucket

That's what I love about shopping at outlets: they have a ton of clothes on sale even if their prices are already lower than mall prices, and they have a lot of items available. :)

The print and color of this maxi dress caught my eye. Sorry about the quality of these photos, I had to turn the flash off. ;)

Photobucket

Pretty accessories!

I love these earrings!

Photobucket

I love this outfit! I will definitely make a Polyvore outfit inspired by this! :D

Photobucket

Isn't this a lovely selection of stores? Coach, J.Crew, and The Cosmetics Company Store.

Photobucket

I am beginning to love J.Crew! I've never really bought anything from there, but thanks to my fellow bloggers who love to share their favorites from that store, I've learned to love it too. :D

Definitely a Polyvore outfit inspiration!

It's not exactly like the Michael Kors watch we all love, but it's cute too, plus you can change the band. I think it's the perfect gift for teenagers, or possibly college students as well.

Camarillo Premium Outlets is located just 45 minutes North of Los Angeles and 40 minutes South of Santa Barbara.

They have over 160 stores! We can seriously spend a whole day (or two, or more, haha) there! :D

Check out http://www.premiumoutlets.com/.

Have you been to the Camarillo Premium Outlets? Is there something like this near you?

Have a great week, everyone!

Essence Kajal Pencil Eyeliner Review

Happy Friday, dear friends! I am happy to share that even though today is still hot, it is definitely milder than yesterday. Yay!

It was a busy day - I went to school to fix some things and then I went to the Camarillo outlet with my parents and brother! I took photos, of course! I can't wait to share them with all of you this weekend or next week. :D

Anyways, have you guys tried the Essence Kajal Pencil Eyeliner?

Photobucket

The classic Essence Eye Pencil gives your eyes irresistible depth. (Ulta.com, $0.99)

Pros:
- It's very creamy
- Glides on easily
- Has a fine tip, but is definitely not sharp
- The color is defined
- Only 99 cents!

There are 8 colors available:
Black 01, White 04, Teddy 08, Cool Breeze 11, Nightfever 13, Hola, Chica! 14, Behind the Scenes 15, Neon Sweetie 17
Check them out here.

Cons:
- One little tear = smear, smear, smear!!!

The first time I used this, I got teary-eyed, and the eyeliner smeared all over. I fixed it by using a Q-tip, and applying some more concealer. The good news is it was easily fixable.

Any eyeliner recommendations?

I would also like to thank everyone who checked out my guest post!

I wish you all a wonderful weekend! :D

Summer to Fall Polyvore and Guest Post!

It's only 11 in the morning, but I am already sweating buckets! It's crazy! We're supposed to reach 104 degrees fahrenheit today, yikes!

Since it's super hot, and it's really hard to think and write a review or something like it today, I am going to share with you, my lovely friends, a Polyvore outfit I made. Woohoo! Haha. ;)

I call this a "Summer to Fall" outfit because it can easily be worn right now through Fall (but for now, I guess we can ditch the cardigan, we really don't need it here in LA).

I love the bowtie on the shoe, it makes it a little girly. The cardigan is silk-cashmere - sounds good to me. I think this is a very simple outfit, with the Chanel bag and diamond studs as the "ooooh, wow!" addition. I don't really have that Chanel bag *sigh*, but there are many quilted bags out there that we can buy (Yay!). It is also very easy to buy diamond stud earrings - people don't really need to know if they're real or not, right?! ;P

What do you think of this outfit?

Dianne from CandidPhobic asked me to write a guest post for her blog! Yay! I made another "Summer to Fall" outfit just for my first guest post. Please head on over to Dianne's blog to check it out. To check out Dianne's blog, see my guest post and other Polyvore outfit, please click here. Thanks, everyone! :D

Vampires Suck actually sucks...

It is boiling hot here in Los Angeles today = over 100 degrees fahrenheit! Woah. I guess summer is still here! ;)

A couple of days ago, I watched Vampires Suck, and I have to say that it actually really does suck.

Now, the trailer really makes it seem like an uber-funny movie - I am not a big fan of spoof movies, but I really thought this was gonna be good.

Here's the trailer:

The humor just wasn't really there. I became restless early on in the movie, and I kept on waiting for something to make me laugh. There were many times throughout the movie when I can actually hear crickets in my head because what I was watching just wasn't funny. There were a lot of stupid scenes - but, I know, it's a parody movie so I should have seen that coming.

To be fair, there were quite a few funny details in the movie, especially if you've seen both Twilight and New Moon. I also have to applaud the actors who played Edward, Becca, and Jacob - they were goooood! They got the facial expressions, body movement, and way of talking perfectly!

Scenes that were almost identical to the ones in the two movies made me laugh.

At first glance, they really look like the Cullens, haha!

Ken Jeong - haha, just think about his characters in other movies (The Hangover, Knocked Up...) and you'll start cracking up. His role as Daro isn't his best, but it's okay, he's a really funny person anyway.

Final Verdict: While there were some funny moments, I still think it was a pointless movie (but really, what should I expect, right?!). Not worth the time and money. If I was sitting at home with nothing to do, and it suddenly comes on HBO or something, then it's worth watching. But going to the theaters to see it? Hmm, definitely not the best decision I've made.

Have you seen Vampires Suck? What did you think of it? Are you planning to see it?

Cool Tools for the Cook! :D

Happy Monday, everyone! It's the last week of August, crazy as it sounds. Haha, I know, I always say that. ;)

Anyways, I'm pretty sure we all love to eat. Food is life. Haha. And cooking our own food can really be fun - that is if we're not too tired or busy. While the basic tools we need can really be narrowed down to pots, pans, knives, chopping board, etc., it is amazing how many cooking tools are now available to us! These colorful and fun tools can make a laborious and tiring day in the kitchen very fun and exciting. :D

Photobucket

Photobucket

I think I want them all! What about you?

Out of all of these, I only have one: a garlic gizmo (part of the 18 gifts my sister and brother-in-law gave me for my 18th birthday). My garlic mincer is a pretty cool gadget - you put the garlic clove in, and then you roll it around (it has wheels!) until your garlic is finely minced. :D

Looking at all these inspired me to look up cooking/baking tools and kitchen gadgets that I would love to own.

Photobucket
Silicone Solutions 10-piece Bake and Serve Set ($49.99)

Photobucket

French White Corningware 16-piece Set ($62.49)

Cuisinart Elite 14-cup Food Processor ($298.95)

Photobucket

Kitchen Aid Artisan Stand Mixer ($299.95)

Photobucket

Shun Classic 8-piece Knife Set ($599.95) --- Yikes!

*from http://www.crateandbarrel.com/*

I kept my "kitchen wishlist" to five items because if I didn't, I think everything in the Crate&Barrel catalog would be on this post, haha! :D

I also dream of having a cozy and home-y kitchen to house my tools and gadgets. And I really want an island! :)

Tagged by Charming Vanity and icosmeticRN! And some funny pictures. :D

I hope everyone had a lovely Saturday. Since it's been a laidback day for me, I thought I'd do two tags from two lovely bloggers: Charming Vanity and icosmeticRN. Thanks for the tags, girls! :D

These questions are from Charming Vanity:

1. What's the one thing u wanna change if u can turn back time? -
I would say nothing, but really thinking about it, I guess I wouldn't do things that I know now resulted in negative things. Haha, I hope that made sense.

2. If you can only choose one make up product, what would that be? -
Concealer. :)

3. What's ur greatest pet peeve? -
I hate it when things stick out of drawers, and when my siblings open a new tube of toothpaste without finishing the other one completely.

4. The one thing that u can't live without? -
Hmmm, technically speaking, I would say food and water. Haha, but I definitely cannot leave the house without my phone.

5. Iphone or Blackberry? -
This is actually difficult to answer because I had a Blackberry for two years, and I loved it. Now, I have an iPhone, and I love it too. ;)

6. If you have a million dollars, what will you do with it? -
I would take care of our bills, donate to charity, treat my family to dinner and shopping, and put the rest in the bank. :)

7. What's the first thing that u do every morning? -
I check my phone for any calls or text messages, and then I check my email.

8. Flats or heels? -
For the longest time now, I've loved wearing flats, but I now try to wear heels whenever I can - and I am loving it! :)

These next questions are from icosmeticRN:

What's your favorite make up look? -
neutral eyeshadow, blush, and lipgloss

Do you have a beauty vice? -
Hmmm, I don't really know. I don't think so...

What part of your body do you love? -
I love my shoulders. Haha. ;)

Who is your beauty icon? -
I don't think I have a beauty icon...

What beauty product makes you feel instantly good? -
My concealer, and recently - red lipstick.

How do you look after your skin? -
I make sure to take off all traces of makeup, wash my face, use toner, and moisturize. I also try to remember to use facial masks every other day.

What is your signature scent? -
Daisy by Marc Jacobs

What are your hair care secrets? -
I shampoo my hair every other day because washing it everyday dries it up. And I really try to remember to put olive oil or coconut oil on the tips of my hair.

How do you pamper yourself? -
I pamper myself with a "beauty day" - facial mask, mani and pedi, cucumber/tea bag in my eyes...

What is your beauty pet peeve? -
I can't really think of any.

What would your desert island must haves be? -
Water, food, my family, lip balm, a change of clothes, a book... I should stop now, otherwise, I'd be listing everything in my house, haha. ;)

Finally, do you have a beauty philosophy? -
Sometimes less is really more. And if it makes you feel beautiful and confident, go for it!

Thanks again to Charming Vanity and icosmeticRN for tagging me! :D

Olay Daily Facials Express Wet Cleansing Cloths Review

It's Friday once again, my dear friends! I hope everyone had a lovely week! :D

Because our daily lives are often packed and busy - with long days spent at work or school, a night of going out and hanging out with friends, or going on a date night with your special someone - it is no surprise that we come home tired and just ready to go to bed. While most of us absolutely cannot sleep without washing our face, there are also some who are just so tired that they sometimes just go straight to bed.

Fortunately, we now have cleansing cloths to keep us from sleeping with makeup still on our face. I use Olay Daily Facials Express Wet Cleansing Cloths before I wash my face. You can definitely use just the cleansing cloth, it takes out my makeup and cleans my face, but I still do wash my face to be sure.

Photobucket

Daily Facials Express Wet Cleansing Cloths thoroughly cleanse skin with a “lift and lock” texture that holds onto dirt and make-up—even waterproof mascara. At the same time, it leaves skin feeling touchably soft with light Olay moisture and vitamin E.

Add them to your skin care routine to:
• Thoroughly cleanse and soften skin, all in one easy step
• Remove make-up—including waterproof mascara

For Use On All Skin Types. Ophthalmologist Tested. Dermatologist Tested.

*from http://www.olay.com/*

I use this cleansing cloth to take off my makeup before I wash my face. I love how the size of the cloth is big enough to cover my whole face. It is thick enough that the dirt and makeup do not seep into the other side. I use the other side to wipe the foundation off my neck. It smells great, and it leaves my face feeling soft and clean.

It does leave a somewhat slippery/oily feeling though, but it's not such a big problem for me since I wash my face after anyways. It's not that greasy, so it's good - I'm guessing moisture and Vitamin E from the cloth can account for the slippery feeling. I also recommend using it everytime we have the chance because they do dry out. Besides that, I didn't find any big problems with it.

Have you tried this particular type and brand of cleansing cloth? What do you think of it? What is your favorite brand?

I was also going through my photos, and I found pictures of the little gift I got from Sephora for my birthday. Sephora gives cute, little birthday gifts to their "Beauty Insider"s. I think it's great, and every year I look forward to what I'm going to get.

This year I received an eyeshadow, eyeliner, and a mascara. :D

Are you a Sephora Beauty Insider too?

I wish everyone a wonderful weekend! :D

Travel Destination: New York

Even if summer is almost over, I know many of us are still thinking and daydreaming about where to go on vacation next. I have a long list, haha, but who doesn't, right? I last went to New York when I was 11 years old, and I've been wanting to go back ever since. I was really young, and so the fast-walking, running to catch the subway thing didn't really appeal to me. Needless to say, I know I will enjoy New York way way way more now that I am 20 years old than I did back then.

Let's start the daydreaming, shall we? :D

Christmas at the Rockefeller Center

New Years' Eve at Times Square

The Plaza Hotel

It's beautiful, huh? :)

The Statue of Liberty

Empire State Building

Central Park (such an amazing picture!)

Another beautiful picture :)

Yummy pretzel and nuts!

Frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity 3, anyone? :)

It's exciting just to imagine all the things we can do in New York - eat, sightsee, and shop, of course! :D

What are the other places we should add to our "New York travel list"? What do you love the most about New York? If you haven't been there, do you want to go visit too?

*all images from Google*

Have a happy Thursday, my loves!
