Let Me Gush: I've Got Your Number -- Sophie Kinsella

Happy Saturday!

So while I'm up and can't sleep, I thought I might as well make a new post for you guys. :)

I recently read Sophie Kinsella's new book, I've Got Your Number, and I've tweeted about it a couple of times too, but it was so good that I think it's worth gushing about here on my blog. ;)

Here is a synopsis from Sophie Kinsella's website:

I've lost it. The only thing in the world I wasn't supposed to lose. My engagement ring. It's been in Magnus's family for three generations. And now, the very same day his parents are coming, I've lost it. The very same day. Do not hyperventilate Poppy. Stay positive!!

Poppy Wyatt has never felt luckier. She is about to marry the ideal man, Magnus Tavish, but in one afternoon her 'happy ever after' begins to fall apart. Not only has she lost her engagement ring but in the panic that followed, she has now lost her phone. As she paces shakily round the hotel foyer she spots an abandoned phone in a bin. Finders keepers! Now she can leave a number for the hotel to contact her when they find her ring. Perfect!

Well, perfect except the phone's owner, businessman Sam Roxton doesn't agree. He wants his phone back and doesn't appreciate Poppy reading all his messages and wading into his personal life. What ensues is a hilarious and unpredictable turn of events as Poppy and Sam increasingly upend each other's lives through emails and text messages. As Poppy juggles wedding preparations, mysterious phone calls and hiding her left hand from Magnus and his parents... she soon realises that she is in for the biggest surprise of her life.

It was classic Sophie Kinsella -- British, chick lit, a fun read!
Of course there is a funny and lovable heroine who makes tons of mistakes along the way, but somehow things still always turn out okay in the end. Gotta love happy endings! ;)

This is the perfect book to read when you just want to relax.
There are tons of laugh-out-loud moments and also quite a few "awwwwww!" moments.

I definitely enjoyed reading I've Got Your Number!
It's the kind of book I wouldn't mind reading again, and that's really saying something because while I love to read, not all books I read make that list.
(The books on that list? Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, The Truth About Forever, Something Blue, A Walk To Remember, The Da Vinci Code, and Pride & Prejudice, just to name a few...)

Have you read I've Got Your Number? Did you like it?
Are you a Sophie Kinsella fan?
Which books make your "I-Would-Read-It-Again" list?

Have a wonderful weekend!!!
If it's hot where you are, don't forget to drink tons of water! If it's still cold, keep warm! ;)

  14. I've always enjoyed reading books from Sophie Kinsella :)
I remember reading a book about her memory loss and I think
it was with the same fiance/husband she was with in this book.
I'm not quite sure, but now I'm going to be confused if I
read this book >< because I'll just keep thinking of her
previous characters. I think I would enjoy it more if she
wasn't engaged lol :p so I can remember this character better.
