Winter Must-Have: FALKE Tights from Tightsplease! :)

Happy Thursday!!!

It's been really hard getting over the holidays and the feeling of not having do anything in particular, haha!
But it's a new year and we gotta get to work, right?! And part of getting back to work for me is getting back to writing blog posts, so here we are. ;)

One winter must-have for me right now is my pair of FALKE tights from an amazing online store called Tightsplease... but, before we get on with my review, here is a little something about www.tightsplease.co.uk:

Tightsplease.co.uk was born in 2000 out of the frustration at the inconvenience of going to the shops to buy tights, stockings, hold ups, and socks. What is the point in going to buy a pair of tights for a few pounds and paying at least as much again in petrol and parking? Only to then find the shop didn't stock the type of product you wanted! Since then Tightsplease has grown to be one of the largest online hosiery retailers in the world. At any one time we stock over 15,000 pairs of tights, stockings, hold ups, socks, lingerie, and shapewear from the best brands in the world. This means you should be able to find exactly what you are looking for. Over a million people visit Tightsplease each year and we have supplied tights to international celebrities, film makers, fashion designers, and consumers all over the world.

Bernadette from Tightsplease contacted me a couple of months ago about doing a review for them, and of course, I said yes! ;)

They had tons of choices -- from footless tights to fishnet tights -- and you can bet it was hard to pick just one... but in the end I chose:

The Soft Merino Tights are pure luxury from the FALKE brand. The ideal option for keeping legs warm and snug in the winter months. Made from warmest merino wool and lined with cotton on the inside make these tights ultimately one of the most comfortable pairs on the market. Soft Merino Tights also have the double bonus of added stretch and an elasticated waistband.

55% Wool 28% Cotton 15% Polyamide 2% Elastane
Reinforced Toe Sheer to Waist Brief Features a Gusset

I got mine in size Medium (40-42).

Sizes available:
Small (36-38)
Small/Medium (38-40)
Medium (40-42)
Medium/Large (42-44)
Large (44-46)
Extra Large (48-50)

I like how they have a wide range of sizes to choose from -- there's nothing worse than being in between sizes and not knowing which one to get. ;)

- Ideal yarn combination: soft cotton inside, warming merino wool outside
- Fine mesh structure
- Soft handle through special finishing
- Perfect fit
- Reinforced heel and toe
- Pressure-free, hand-linked toe
- Comfortable wear feel through comfort top

The fit is really perfect.
The tights are soft and comfortable. It stays in place -- it doesn't crinkle like regular tights.
The elasticated waistband is also amazing -- it doesn't dig into my skin and doesn't roll over. :)

Another thing that I absolutely love about these tights is the reinforced heel and toe!
I love how it's shaped to fit your feet perfectly -- other tights don't have this and I always end up with curled toes because of it, haha! ;)

The material also helps keep my feet in place, no more slippery tights!

A peek at my outfit featuring my new FALKE Soft Merino Tights...

Price: $47.40, on sale for $33.17
A little pricey for a pair of tights, but so worth it!

I don't know why it took me so long to discover merino wool -- it is amazing!
And when they said it's warming, they weren't lying! My tights totally kept me warm throughout the day. :)

So, there we have it, these tights are officially part of my winter must-haves... I definitely have to get more!

You can keep up to date with Tightsplease through their websiteFacebookTwitter, and Pinterest.

Have you guys bought anything from Tightsplease before?
Do you have a favorite pair of tights?

I hope you are all enjoying the first week of 2013!

  14. Quite pricy for a pair of tights. Do they work as supportive underwear as well?

But a mall just opened up in my city and I saw an array of tights in a little corner :D So excited to look at them (I think they are Japan brand) but I am afraid it is too small for me...:P But they are soooo soft!! :D Eh me blabbing about tights :P This one looks good and it reminds me to get a new pair of black tights ;)
