Wedding Wednesday: Most Beautiful Brides of 2012

Happy Wedding Wednesday!
I know Wednesday is practically over, but hey, it's never too late to have a Wedding Wednesday post, right?! ;)

Last year, I made a post about my favorite brides of 2011 (Check it out here!)...
And I figured I should make that a yearly thing, so here we are...

Here are the most beautiful brides of 2012 (according to my opinion, of course):

1. Anne Hathaway -

She looks so happy and so radiant! :)

Anne wore a gorgeous strapless ivory silk point d'esprit tulle wedding gown made by Valentino especially for her.
The dress featured a romantic train embroidered with satin flowers and hand-painted in a soft pink hue.

And she totally rocked that headpiece -- so beautiful!

2. Princess Stephanie, Hereditary Grand Duchess of Luxembourg -

Yes, she's not as well-known and as talked about as the Duchess of Cambridge, but look at how lovely Princess Stephanie looked on her wedding day! Everything about her is utter perfection!

And look at how gorgeous her Elie Saab wedding gown is! It's even more beautiful than Duchess Catherine's Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding dress from last year's royal wedding.
(It's official: I have a huge crush on everything Elie Saab makes... have you seen Blair Waldorf's wedding dress?!)

It took a total of 3,900 hours to make this dress.
It features a 13 ft train and is embellished with 50,000 pearls and threaded with ethereal silver, while the skirt is embossed with 80,000 transparent crystals

Aaaahhhh, I love royal weddings! Everything about this just screams "Princess"! :)

3. Camila Alves -

I love how simple but absolutely breathtaking Camila looked on her wedding day!

Besides the gorgeous lace sleeves, I loved her veil -- so delicate and so beautiful! :)

Brazilian designer Ducarmo Castelo Branco whipped up this timeless beaded lace wedding dress for Camila Alves. The bride only spent a day and a half with the designer and his team of eight seamstresses, and they surprised her with this beautiful dress 22 days later = Wow!

4. Drew Barrymore -

I love this photo!
It totally captures the gorgeous bride's happiness on her wedding day! :)

Drew's husband's father is the former CEO of Chanel, so it wasn't a surprise that the bride turned to Chanel head designer Karl Lagerfeld to create her wedding dress. The legendary designer "put together the actress's pleated muslin and organza gown, which features a skirt embroidered with flowers made of tulle and feathers and a black satin belt. After the ceremony, Barrymore donned a black Chanel tweed jacket to keep warm into the evening."

Check out Drew's wedding to Will Kopelman here.

5. Jessica Biel -

It's so unconventional, but I actually love this jumping photo of Justin Timberlake, haha!
I've always had a crush on this guy, and it's great to see him and Jessica Biel happily married. :)

The blushing bride wore a custom petal-pink gown made of silk mousseline and silk organza by Giambattista Valli.
It's not really a dress I'd choose for my own wedding, but it works for Jessica Biel -- Mrs. Timberlake definitely pulled it off. :)

There we have it, these are the most beautiful brides of 2012 for me.
I wish I had more time to talk about each of them, but no worries, just leave a comment below and we can continue chatting about these gorgeous brides and their weddings and their dresses... Plus, I'm thinking of making a post on my favorite weddings of the year just like I did last year (and fair warning, these five brides' weddings are probably gonna be it, haha!), so we can also chat more about weddings next week, haha! ;)

Do you agree with my choices?
In your opinion, who are the most beautiful brides of this year?

I hope you are all having a happy week, Christmas is almost here! :D

  6. I didn't really follow the popular brides and weddings for this year, but I say you have the list right on! I love Anne Hathaway, of course, and her pixie cut is unconventional but fit her headpiece perfectly. I'm not a fan of pink, either, but Jessica Biel's gown is just the right shade and amount. :)
