Wedding: Nicole Richie and Joel Madden

Happy Wedding Wednesday! :D

It's been quite a while since I last made a celebrity wedding post, so here we are. :)

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden tied the knot on December 11, 2010 at her father's Beverly Hills Estate.

The bride wore a high-neck, Grace Kelly inspired, lace Marchesa wedding dress.

It looks like a ballerina costume! And her bouquet of white flowers was absolutely beautiful! :)

She also had their names embroidered on her lace sleeve.

They danced their first dance to What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong. And Nicole donned two more outfits - besides her wedding gown - for her big day.

The wedding had a Versailles and winter theme (I've read that winter is Nicole's favorite season - perhaps that's why she named her daughter Harlow Winter Kate...)

They said their vows under two entwined trees covered with white hydrangeas.

The reception was held on a tent (which stood over the pool!) that featured hand-painted floors. They had antique chandeliers and a wall lined with mirrors.

They served butternut squash ravioli, beef au jus with truffle mushroom risotto, and seared ahi tuna with chive wasabi cream. Yum!

They had a red velvet wedding cake...

I loooove red velvet! But the cake's design... I'm not too sure if I like it. What about you?

Their daughter, Harlow, was the flower girl. Their son, Sparrow, was the ring bearer. So cute!

Their 155 guests were greeted by Tai, a 47-year-old elephant - a symbol of good luck. :)

I think they had a beautiful wedding. I love seeing Nicole Richie happy and settled. She looks like a really devoted Mom to her two kids. Paris Hilton should seriously look to her for some inspiration, haha. ;P

What did you think of Nicole and Joel's wedding?

  2. Yay! Thanks for posting this! I was vacationing and somehow missed all of this glamour. So beautiful! I love Nicole. I was addicted to The Simple Life (have the DVDs) becuase of her and when her book came out I read it all in a day.

I'm so happy that she's turned her life around. She made a gorgeous bride, although, she is a bit too skinny.
