Travel Destination: San Diego, California

Hi everyone! It's been quite some time since I made a post about a travel destination, so here we go. :)
San Diego is a beautiful place and a refreshing change of scene especially for those who want to take a break from their busy Los Angeles life. It's only about 2hours and 45minutes away from LA (about 4hours with traffic). :)

Here are some of the spots in San Diego that I love visiting both as a 19-year old and as a child:

1. San Diego beaches -

Mission beach: paved boardwalk and volleyball nets

Coronado beach: clean sand and gentle waves

La Jolla Shores: long, flat beach

2. Fashion Valley - shopping! :D

3. Seaport Village - souvenirs and food! :)

4. Sea World - I enjoyed going to Sea World as a kid. I haven't been there in about 5 years. I want to go again. :D
5. San Diego Zoo - It was such a great experience for me as a child. :)

What are your favorite things to do in San Diego?

If you haven't been there, is there a place near you that you love to go to when you want to take a break from everyday life? :)

  3. As somebody who was born and raised in San Diego, I think you made a really great post about this city.

One thing you didn't mention Mimi, is that I would recommend also visiting La Jolla Cove. La Jolla is a beautiful area and I like that I get to work around here. It is also close to downtown La Jolla, which is consider the Beverly Hills of San Diego.

Fashion Valley is the one mall I always end up going to. It is a great shopping mall and has a movie theater located on the 2nd floor. I would also like to recommend going to this mall if any of you are ever in the San Diego area.

    Thanks Mimi!!

  18. Hey !
I came across your blog by doing a google search on San Diego (btw, I just luv it! :p)
I’m in SD right now and seriously, this town is sick!!
It’s like you’re in paradise here: sun, beach, parties.. The good life to sum it up! Plus, I’m really lucky cause I live in an apartment complex where there’s a swimming-pool, a jacuzzi and a fitness center! To be honest, I first thought it was gonna be like impossible to live in such a complex cause I was like “ it’s gonna be too expensive, bla bla bla …“ But actually, even if you’re on a low budget, there still is a possiblilty to live in such a place ! Awesome, isn’t it ? :D
If you’re interested, you can check out the website www.sandiego-studenthousing.com. I found it on the Internet and seriously, it’s really worth a peek !
I hope it’s gonna be the same for you if you come to SD (and if it’s okay with you, we can also stay in touch to share our experiences). If you want to contact me, it’s dead easy : just search for Deborah on San Diego Student Housing fan page on Facebook. ;o)
