Wedding Dresses

A couple of days ago, I made a post feauturing some A-line wedding dresses. What I was going to do originally was to make a post for each wedding dress silhouette... but then, I thought, "Oh no no, that might be a little too boring". So, I decided to just put an example of each of the other 5 silhouettes in one post. I hope this is a better idea. :)

*If you haven't seen my two previous posts on wedding gown silhouettes/types, please click
here and here* :D

Ball gown/ Full skirt/ Ballerina skirt: Kate Hudson wearing Vera Wang in Bride Wars (I love that movie!)
*This dress also has what we call a basque waist-- that v-line that dips to a point about 3 inches below the waist. It might be a bit hard to see in this photo.*

Column/ Sheath:

Empire Waistline:
Reem Acra

Mermaid/ Trumpet:
Fergie in Dolce&Gabbana, with husband Josh Duhamel

Casual, yet beautiful wedding dresses

TGIF! Have a great weekend, everyone! :D

  1. I love to have a look on wedding dresses. I like dresses that look like they were made just for a princess xD That's the reason why I dislike these schort dresses.

  2. Hmm not fond of the shorter dresses! Or the 3rd down... I don't know, I guess I just like traditonal, long and poufy wedding dresses.
The other dresses can be worn any old time.

  3. bride wars is an awesome movie! and i really love kate hudson's dress...both the style and the colored ribbon/belt thing!

  4. I love Bride Wars, ahh I need to watch it :) Such a great movie and Kate's ring and dress are amazing in it. Although, for my wedding, I'm going with a more fitted, trumpet style gown covered in lace :)

  5. I love Bride Wars too! I liked her wedding dress especially. Can't go wrong with Vera Wang. =]

  6. Kathrin-- true, we all love princess dresses. :)

Julie-- i imagine those empire waist dresses to be for beach weddings or something like that. :)

Shelley Ann-- love her dress too! :)

Meg-- her ring was amazing! sooo pretty! :D

Leenda-- true, vera wang is vera wang. :D

  7. Kayla-- is your wedding coming up soon? congrats! :D

  8. I love the ballgown style, because how often do you get a chance to wear a dress so dramatic? If not on your wedding day, then when?!

    Chic on the Cheap

  9. I am into the Ballerina skirt! I don't even think about the short version!
Ps: Bride wars is one great movie, indeed!!!!

  10. LyddieGal-- you are sooo right! :)

Yours To Keep-- almost everyone i know wants the ballerina skirt. :D and yup, bride wars is such a good movie. :)

  11. I want my wedding dress to have a ballerina skirt <3

    cute post!
