New Favorite: The Graham Norton Show

Yay for the weekend!

I was channel-surfing a few weeks ago when I came across BBC America. I knew we had that channel, but I just never really checked to see what shows they had. So, one day I decided to check out The Graham Norton Show -- and I loved it!

It's funny and entertaining, and quite different from talk shows here in America.
I love how watching it kind of broadens my horizon in a way. I learn about shows, celebrities, and issues in the UK -- things we don't normally talk about over here. And it's also so much fun to see Hollywood stars interacting with celebrities from the UK.

Here is a snippet of one of the funniest episodes I've seen so far:

Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms!!! :D

Soooooo funny! I love their bromance.
If you guys have time and if you love these two, you should watch this episode of The Graham Norton Show because they talk about their Thailand experience while filming The Hangover 2 -- I seriously couldn't stop laughing!

My blogger friends over in the UK (and from other countries as well), what other shows should I check out?

I wish all of you a fantastic weekend! :D

  2. Ha, Graham's laugh is hilarious. Mock The Week and Have I Got News For You are worth watching if they're shown on that channel. Plus The Apprentice UK of course!

  4. Oh, that was so funny. I'm still a fan of Hollyoaks. Its more of a teen soap. Yet at times gritty, but still fun. Although, they did away with some of my favorite characters.

  5. I still haven't seen the Hangover 2, but could NOT stop laughing at the first one. I had a stomachache from laughing so hard. I love both of these two actors!

  10. Hahaha Mimi, I absolutely love The Graham Norton show.. And I'm a huge fan of Ed Helms and The Office, so... this was super fun! I've been watching it for years. Theres a great interview with Orlando Bloom floating around on youtube, I still watch it years later and it still makes me laugh. Also, it was super funny when Russell Brand was on and they called a sex hotline.

I'm not from the UK obvs, but if you want to check out anything Australian, "Angry Boys" is huge in the UK atm, its a bit of a piss-take of social issues that we have going on here...

  15. Hey Mimi, I didnt get any email.... but if I can tell you anything... there's a couple of really awesome crime series;

Underbelly... there's 4 seasons but they are all separate.. the 2008 (and first) season is the best, its really, really interesting and maybe more for me because it's the city that I live in.

Also a really cool drama series called "Offspring" its in it's second season and I love it, its romance drama and humor. (Im also not a huge fan of Aussie tv shows but this great.)

Lastly, the angry boys series that I mentioned -- is by this comedian called Chris Lilley. He has three series; We Can Be Heroes, Summer Heights High & Angry Boys ... They are all made in documentary style... its a very specific type of humour, but if you 'get' shows like "The Office" you will probably like it. Its really "off-center."

:) if you need help getting your hands on them, let me know! :)
